My heart is beating out of my chest as Nikko tried to find where his car is parked. The valet was not at the door when we came out. He probably didn't think anyone would leave this early; dinner hasn't started yet.
In bits and pieces, everything came back to me from the first day I met the Angel of Death till the last time I saw him when he tried to kill me. I grabbed ahold of the valet post to steady myself as my head began to spin.
Nikkos car was coming around the corner, so I walked towards the edge of the roundabout. I opened his car door and jumped in before he could get out. As the car sped off, I looked out the window as Azazel stood outside the Jessup Manor, and I sighed in relief.
