Chapter Thirteen - Rogue Feelings

Viviana was quick to react and dodge while Isaura took the full weight of Tessa to the ground. Viviana went for me again as I stood up from laying on the table. Her effort was thwarted by Tessa's quick pounce, pushing Viviana off balance with Tessa repeatedly punching her in the face while grabbing on to her hair. Isaura stands and creeps up behind Tessa. Tessa dropped down and swung her leg out and around knocking Isaura flat to the stone floor. Tessa began a punching fit across Isaura's face while straddled on top of her.

Eso's face remained tense and focused on the up roar ever since I swung his hog leg across their heads. He was more angry than I have yet to see. Though he did not act on any urges yet.

Alcrea came forward removing Tessa aggressively from the pulverizing of the Delta and Gamma females. I couldn't help but to be impressed with her. She stood there beautiful in black fur. Strong. Powerful. My no longer timid baby sister. Viviana got to her feet, reduced to human form while she fidgeted with her loosened garments. Isaura laid motionless upon the ground still covered in her brown fur as half wolf.

“Kill the rogue.” Alpha Eso stated

Beta Alcrea looked confused as he tightened his grip on Tessa's biceps. “Alpha Eso. Is that the best course of action?”

Eso's eyes widened while throwing the table over, destroying it and all that was laid upon it. Eso thrusted himself over the mess, running up on Alcrea punching him in the gut. All the while Alcrea did not relinquish his grip he had on Tessa's arms.

I leaped forward the moment Eso advanced towards them, not sure what his intentions were in that moment. Or what would happen if I were not right there to stop him.

“I said dispose of the rogue, Beta!” Eso stood towering over Alcrea

“What do you mean by rogue?” I ask.

The men stood silent with fogged over looks in their eyes as if taking a break from the troubles in front of them. Alpha spoke up, “Rogues are wolves not belonging to any pack. Your sister here was not turned or introduced as a wolf. You went against our laws turning her with out my, or her possible future mate's permission.”

I laughed slightly. “Forgive me Alpha, It is just that this humors me.” His anger towards me turned violent, he wanted to hurt me himself now. “How can I not be allowed to turn others to a wolf who are worthy of it?” I continued. “Am I not your mate whom has created me. With out Your power I could not of done so.” I argued.

“You are not my equal” He insists

“No my Alpha I am not your equal. Only a small part is an extension of you. Because of you I was able to turn a human into a wolf this strong.”

Alcrea spoke up “She was to be tested for rank in a weeks time.” He gestured to the two sore beaten women. One stood cleaning blood from her nose the other unconscious and unaware of what was going on now. “The law states that knowing she was accepted to be a ranked member and proving herself to be their superior, she would now be ranked above them and as I have no mate, that would make Tessa the new Beta Female”

A smile crossed Tessa's wolfy face. Eso struggled with the disrespect being shown “Since we now have a Beta Female” Alpha Eso's voice boomed as the attentive crowd stayed watching “The soon to be Luna must fight and defeat her on the next New Moon”

Tess still did not speak up, only stood tense at his words. Alcrea snapped his head to look at me then to Tessa. The crowds clapped in agreeance. Eso turned and went straight back to the over turned table. He lifted it upright before fixing both our seats and sitting down as a servant already had food hitting the table for him. Another Hog leg fresh from the fire.

Alcrea released Tessa but she had yet to return to her human state. She stood bare. Covered only in her long black glistening fur, with a grey patch on her head in the shape of a waning crescent moon. I looked to her as I spoke “Go change then put on some clothes so you can come take your place with me.” I beamed at her.

Tessa took my instructions determinedly, she pounced over tables back towards the black castle. Hailey approached us looking displeased with me, “You said you didn't turn your sister!”

“No, I never said weather I did or not. I said my clothes got disheveled during my disagreement with Viviana. I know it was sneaky to use my wording that way but I did not wish anyone to know just yet.”

Alpha Eso looked down the dance floor at us as he spoke up, “And why not?”

Alcrea walked up to take his place to Alpha's left, then three other men of tall builds, and very muscular forms took seats at this side of the table. To Alpha's Right was the empty Luna's chair, another empty chair, followed by Delta Viviana, another empty chair, Then a woman with straight black hair and dark brown eyes. She wore all black. The pants with straps and gadgets in them with pockets filled with useful items. Her long sleeved black shirt was covered slightly by a black utility vest. Most pockets latched but I could see a section of small throwing blades that she was likely an expert at.

I sweetly replied to his question, “I did not wish her moment to take away from our moment my mate.”

He was angry with me, though he replied lovingly. “Come sit by me my pet”

I gracefully stepped across the dance floor directly to Isaura. Feeling her energy is weak I place my hand on her brown furry shoulder, willing her energy to revive. Her eyes open abruptly before she quickly pushes her self up to hastily walk to her seat by Viviana. I didn't bother wasting words on her instead I float gracefully around the men seated at the table to come sit beside Alpha Eso, fully aware at all the eyes studying my every action. Once seated he pulled my chair in so I was as close as possible with him.

“What desires do you wish to be fulfilled my mate.” He asks while gesturing to the assortment of foods he wants me to choose from.

I look up seeing Hailey has already taken a seat with the others at tables surrounding the dance floor, “I desire my handmaiden to come sit by me and that another chair be brought for the new Beta Female, to sit on the other side of her.”

My eyes widen watching him closely as he responded, “You would put Beta below that of your handmaiden?” He was genuinely interested in my reasoning. Clearly an omega handmaiden could be defeated by even Isaura if it were to be demonstrated.

“Handmaidens have always been an extension of their Ladies, as I insist it is to be so here and now.”

“You insist?” He asks me

“You vowed it to be so.” I reminded him with a pleasant smile leaning in so our faces were nearly touching.

The tall man seated next to Alcrea had dark glossy black hair, slicked back revealing bold blue eyes. His beard groomed and styled shaping his face with a creative shave along his bone structure, with whiskers that were long, greased into a curl. He leaned into the table looking down it to his Alpha, “Has my mate not suffered enough this day cousin.”

“Delta Viviana's suffering is brought by her own hand from being weak.”

Eso's eyes stayed fixated on mine while his hand reached up gently gliding the backs of his fingers along my cheek. I leaned into the comfort of his simple touch allowing my eyes to flutter in this satisfying moment. Bringing his fingers along my chin he opens his hand so that my face rests in his palm and I nuzzle in to it releasing a slight moan.

Eso's eyes blackened, glaring at the Delta Bedwyr, as he continues addressing his grievance, “Her failure is displeasing to me Bedwyr. How is it not to you I wonder? Her failure reflects upon you.”

Returning his gaze upon me he takes his large roasted hog leg. Peeling off a juicy small piece, he slides the meat in between my lips. My tongue greets it, guiding the meat inwards. I lean in so that my lips extend past the morsel to remove some of the juices left on Eso's finger tip. The build up I was causing by toying with the beast inside him could be felt throughout the dining guests.

A young servant brought forth root vegetables on metal spikes, sizzling, announcing they just arrived from the fire. Alpha Eso spoke to the servant “Boy!” The boy looked stiff but ready to carry out any order, even death. “See to it a seat be brought for our new Beta Female” The boy looked confused but never questioned the matter. He delivered his tray and was off to carry out his orders.

I shouted out with my sassy voice to Hailey “You know your seat is up here with me!” She blushed and stood up before I said or did anything more to embarrass her. She passed the ranked women to get to her seat. They dare not do or say anything this time but you could tell thier conniving ways were fueled.

“Luna” she curtsied to me before taking her seat

Eso demanded my attention, I loved indulging this desire he had to feed me and was unashamed of it. He brought forth a small seasoned potatoe, perched on his two fingers and thumb to me. I let my lips slide over it before biting and removing it from his possession. Once securely in my mouth I smirk at Eso and He smiles.

Alcrea's attention I noticed abruptly shifted to what I could tell was Tessa returning. Several members attentions were directed towards her while she elegantly approached the table. She chose a long red revealing gown that shimmered. It slit from the neck to her navel and hugged her body perfectly, flowing gently from her thighs. Her black hair in very large hoops pinned up. My eyes scanned her over, she was radiant. No one here compared to my sister's beauty. I could feel her power as a wolf growing, giving her all the confidence and strength I always knew she had.

The only eyes that never gazed upon her were the ones I still could feel savoring me. I bring my eyes back to his with my teeth biting the side of my lip for him. He knows my bites are what I savor. Little by little he will give me my fill.

Tessa's and Hailey's voices giggle from behind me, distracting my attentions from Eso. “What is so funny you two?” I pester.

Alpha Eso is unamused by my distractions, “Yes! What can possibly be so amusing?” He enforces.

Tessa speaks up “It's merely girl talk” shaking her head feigning being cute.

It was her casualness that infuriated him, “Beta Tessa! I demand you explain what you found so funny that you must divert my mate's attention.” He grumbled.

Tessa's gaze challenged his. I know she can feel his strength and that she is no match for him in the end game right now. She continues keeping her poised body unadulterated, “Girl talk means, it's not meant for everyone.” She stifled her urges to attack him now. Being near the murderer of your family while having new strength to use on him, is a level of courage and patients not many will come to know. I ask the Moon Goddess let it be few.

Clearly not the answer Eso wanted He snapped back at her, “Tomorrow morning there will be a bonding ceremony. It's quick and only those who need to be there will be.”

"Yes Alpha!" Everyone in the room chanted in unison.

His voice worried me. He was agitated and just now has pulled back from me. It wasn't a feeling I liked, having him wanting distance when I was so close to him right now. He got up from the tables abruptly. With horror on his face he shouted out

“Zephyr and Bedwry come with me! Alcrea protect my mate. The rest of you finish up your meals then return to your homes immediately.”

Alpha Eso left with Delta Bedwyr and the other man at the far end of the table. The one with sandy locks and blue eyes, he wore all black in the same style of the mystery woman on the far end of this side of the table.

People quickly ate, grabbing foods to take with them as they hurried to leave. Those from the castle headed back to it while others took other paths leading out. Alcrea stayed by my side, along with Tessa and Hailey. We all began the rushed walk along the cobblestone path that led to the castle. I turned to see young men and women cleaning up the outside dinner party as quickly as they could manage.

“Why aren't those young men and women rushing to get inside?” I questioned.

Alcrea spoke up, “Those are simply human slaves or servants, either way disposable, now hurry I must get you three inside.”

I almost thought it was a joke, but there was no humor to his tone. Tessa was not alright with his statement either, “How dare you!” Alcrea looked shocked at her sudden outburst towards him but she continued, “We are to run to safety from an unknown danger while those who can't defend themselves properly are left out here to face the odds?”

“My apologies Beta Tessa, I told you earlier there is system in place here. The last ranking that isn't technically a ranking is the slaves or humans. They understand their position in the Pack.”

Tessa still was not satisfied with how he was behaving on the matter “You expect these people to do every dirty job you all don't want to do while treating them as if they are expendable.” She was heated.

He chuckled back, “Must everything you do be a conflict.” His smile turned serious as his eyes faded over briefly. When his attention focused on us again he announced, “Rouges near the boarders. We are save for now but we need to move fast to get you Luna safely inside.”
