Chapter Ten - Bite For Bite

The meal was very traditional, meats with gravies and bread creations by Omega Phreya. The beautiful plates were served to us by young men dressed uniformly in crisp white outfits with black accents. They maintained a very strict composure. I adored the small entree portions, delicately placed upon each plate served to us. Alpha Eso took my servings from me every time they arrived so that he could feed me. I could have persisted that I feed myself and won, though the longing I would endure afterwards would distract me too intensly I fear. We didn't speak much, only to make satisfying noises at the savor filled morsels we relished in. He loved watching me delicately transfer each bite to my mouth before taking a bite for himself.

Once our bellies and hearts were satisfied he silently escorted me to our room with my arm wrapped in his. He spun me against his hard exterior before backing me against the warm stone wall by our bedroom door. His scent even more intoxicating the closer I am to him. I want to run wild through his rough foresty terrain.

In an instant he grabs me by the throat, taking my breath away before kissing me deep. His tongue fights around my mouth as if trying to quickly solve a combination lock. The feeling is displeasing and sloppy. A Growl escapes from the upper corner of my raised lip as I firmly grab hold of the back of his head plunging my silky sweet tongue across his, to enter and massage gently in his personal space.

Fearlessly I conquer as shock pours over this Alpha, he attempts to regain composure after being lost in my wild ways. With my arms I latch on harder to his head and waist. My legs wrapped securely around his left leg before I begin sucking his tongue, absorbing it back into my mouth, only for me to bite down hard enough to keep him in my control. I keep my eyes closed as I feel him jolt in my arms trying to discern how to handle my dominance over him.

I seductively roll my eyes open to meet his and hum a low tuned melody before gently caressing his tongue with my lips, and releasing him from my bite. Allowing my velvet tongue to swirl his goodbye before isolating eachother once more. His eyes are black and as salacious as mine. I want to take control of him and feel him quiver beneath my body at my every command. He eases his grip from my neck, I'm not even sure when he had tightened it so much.

The bedroom door opens abruptly with Tessa standing there snapping me out of this haze I was in, causing me to breathe fully once more. She bows slightly “Lord Eso, it is good to see you again”

His words he spits out with such hate while looking at Tessa, “You are not permitted to the Luna Ceremony this evening. Only Wolves may attend.” He doesn't wait to discuss anything or even for my reaction only storms off. I roll my eyes and shake off the feelings I was having before entering my chambers. Hailey and Tessa had been waiting patiently for me to tell them all about my lunch with Eso but worry sets in as I look at my beautiful sisters innocent face.

I take a deep sigh for what all I am about to explain to Tess. Without going through what I have had to these last twenty-four hours, I doubt many would believe that we were amoung Wolves who took the shape of humans. On top of it I am responsible for putting us here in harms way. Her in harms way. With the ones responsible for destroying our family, our childhood. There was so much and I don't want to have to do this to her. In this moment she is still, in her eyes, safe.

“Tessa I love you” I hug her deeply as she hugs me back

“I love you too Tavy” She lets out with a grunt of breath from my squeezing her.

“There are some things I need to tell you that may give you quite a shock.” I say earnestly

She pulls out of the hug to look at me. “Don't worry yourself sick. I've already demanded Hailey to spill the beans” she states calmly

My eyes widen and look to Her “Hailey!”

“Forgive me Luna, she...” was all she could stutter out before Tessa rescued her

“I made her tell me Octavia! It was hard to believe she wasn't teasing me. That is, until she showed me how she could turn into each of the three forms of Wolf.” Tessa nodded to me.

“Wait! Hailey that is not fair! I have yet to see your Wolf!” I playfully scold her “So what colors are you as a Wolf?!”

Hailey blushes slightly “I am a creamy brown color with grey and black patches Luna”

“Tavy don't let her deceive you she is the prettiest Wolf I have ever seen! She's big and soft! I could only imagine walking through the markets with her by my side” she giggled

“You sound so stunning Hailey! I wish you waited for me I want to see your Wolf!” I continued to tease her.

"Luna it would be my Honor!" She had the biggest smile. So proud to honor my request.

Hailey undid her buttons to her uniforms then carefully folded them, placing each garment next to the other along the wardrobes lower shelf. Once naked she faced us, first her eyes faded to black, then her nose extended while her ears elongated. Her musculature thickened and sculpted as she grew fur rapidly. She was nearly double the height while still standing erect, looking like a combination of Wolf and human. She reached her furry arms forward to the ground as her shape continued to contort into that of a more defined Wolf with flowing soft creamy brown fur and patches of gray and black.

She was huge. Glorious even. Her eyes of gray looked deep into my eyes. I reached out around her neck hugging her, petting her fur.

“You really do have very soft fur. I'd say even softer than Riley's ever was. Thank you for showing me your Wolf form Hailey” I released her from my embrace to return standing with Tess while Hailey began losing her beautiful fur and shrinking in size.

Tessa spoke in a hushed worried tone, “I knew something was off about these people. No offense Hailey you are a doll, but these Wolves Tavy, they want you to be their Wolf queen and let Lord Eso suck out a part of you... would you be able to do that” She points at Hailey standing there with a wolfs snout and ears, “but there's no real coming back from it you would always be one of them.”

Hailey looked at me with kind eyes, “I didn't tell her everything, only basics.”

“What?! There's more?!” Tessa's shock was unexaggerated as she turned to look for truth or lies upon my face.

“Tessa, I am Wolf now.” Her eyes widened more than physically possible but she couldn't speak so I filled in the blanks. Explaining Lord Eso's plans with me and how I was trying to get her out of here for her own safety.

“But why Tavy? No matter where I am to go at some point I will be in danger. Where better to be than safe by your side. Besides I don't like that you say you want to provide me with the freedom to choose my own happiness but then you try to send me from here with out asking what it is I might want.” Her head held high and gaze stern.

I furrowed my brow studying her, “Why would you choose to stay here where it's unsafe?”

With my sassy charm coming through her words she replied, “Why would you assume you are the only one meant for this way of life?” she glared back at me. “I refuse to loose sight of you again, I've told you this Octavia.”

“Tessa I fear you wont last long among them, humans are much weaker than Wolves in every way. They will test you and push you to prove you are nothing but a weak filthy human. You will be either married off to another Wolf or married off to a wealthy 'creature' for profit. The odds look bleak.” She went to speak up but I continued to speak while Hailey finished dressing. “Fear not for I have a wonderful plan Tessa!” the playfulness in my words lightened her spirits

She skeptically asks, “Oh really and what might that be Octavia?”

“I am going to bite you!” I smirk

“What?!” Hailey and Tessa exclaimed at once.

“Only Alpha's or mates are allowed to turn humans! But only ever with Alpha's permission!” Hailey declared in a panic.

“Never mind that how about you try asking a lady first!” Tessa smiled at me mischievously

“What? Like you don't want to be turned into a Wolf?” I teased

“Is that what Lord Eso told you before He made that choice for you?” Her quick retort is always appreciated, honesty fueled with wit. Very few would speak this way with me though I enjoy it when it happens.

“So you don't want to be a Wolf?” I ask smugly

“That's not what I said” Tessa smirked back

“It matters not what she said. Luna won't do it until she asks Alpha's permission. We all are honor bound to him and can never disobey orders from superior ranks”

“I am Luna, equal to that of the Alpha am I not?”

“You have not been made Luna yet, you are a destined Luna until the ceremony. Only a Wolf can turn another into a Wolf, you must be able to transform at least partially for your serum to affect her. Don't do this! You mustn't even make the attempt. Alpha would be furious!”

“Hailey silence! You are to remain in your private quarters until I call for you! I wish to conversate with my sister in private” Hailey looked hurt but did a small curtsy before retiring to her room just beyond my wall.

I winked to Tessa “Tessa take me to your room”

We stood in unison as we exited mine and Eso's bedroom then made our way down the hall to the very end of the long corridor. Her door was third from the window at the end leading to a winding staircase. She opened her door to a gray room with bold blue accents. I had wondered if everything in this castle was going to be adorned with black and blue. This room was happier feeling, more of what a decent lady would expect to have. She closed the door before walking to offer me a seat in her sitting section.

Always so graceful she is, I cant help but physically shake my head no. This is not an actual visit and she knows this, She must be nervous.

“There are things I must tell you while it's only us Tess” not sure why I lowered my voice as low as it would go so that I barely spoke a sound. I managed to get it all out with her understanding “Yesterday after Alpha Eso bit me he transformed into his Wolf....He is the black and gray streaked Wolf Tessa.”

She pulled away to look me in the eyes, hers welled up with emotion at the realization but she never shed a drop. The time for tears was long past.

“You see why I wanted to send you back to the Harth's Estate”

“Why?! They couldn't even stop Eso from marrying you! But I am to believe if there was a war I would be something worth saving? I don't want to have to worry or think like that Octavia.”

“What is it you want then”

“You already knew that answer before you asked Lord Eso to send me back.” She was right. I knew she would still follow me along, doing as I do, with her own style to it. It was I who didn't want this for her. I wanted to see her in an epic romance tale, one that would be written about and told throughout histories of civilizations yet to come. One where she would be adored for all her little quirks and appreciated for more than her appearance.

“Are you sure?” I question her

“Why are you asking me? Just do it. OH! But refrain from leaving a horrible scar.”

I giggle slightly. “You know I have no real idea if this will all work don't you?”

“I am aware of the circumstances we are in. The challenges we will face. I'm not leaving you Tavy, I will get stronger so you never have to worry about me again. We are stronger together. I want this, I want revenge for Mother, Father, all our Sisters, and all of those who lost their lives that day.”

“No going back.” I state.

“No going back.” She chants.
