Troy

I pick myself up from the ground and I carry myself unwillingly to my car. Where do I go from here?

I just have to go back home now. My heart is in shambles, I feel like I am about to die. I feel so weak despite being so strong physically. On my way home, my mind keeps wandering who I offended in a way that he or she would want to hurt my Elisa this way. She didn’t do anything, she is the sweetest and most calm person I have ever seen. That person should have just faced me instead.

Who could it be? That's a question that I will ask myself for a very long time.

I get to the pack and rush to my room, I don't want to see anyone. I am just a disappointment, how can an Alpha fail to take care of his bride?

A teeny tiny part of me blames the moon goddess for pairing me with a human. Not that I am regretting being with Elisa, but a human isn't cut out for pack staff.

Torak isn’t speaking to me because of the ill thoughts I have about Elisa. I try to summon him to no avail. I need someone to speak to, everyone is out searching for Elisa. I just don’t know what to do, I am on the verge of breaking apart. I can’t survive without my mate, she has been the reason for my happiness all this time. What am I going to do if anything outward happens to her? I stop myself from having negative thoughts.

“I am so sorry, Alpha Troy, we are going to find her.” Levy’s voice brings me back to reality.

“Levy, sorry bro, I didn’t see you there.” He is already in my room, I didn’t even know he was back from the search.

“Come here brother, all will be well.” He says, walking up to me and pulling me into a tight embrace. I find myself breaking down. I start sobbing uncontrollably, he pats my back continuously. I soak his t-shirt with my tears, I try to stop myself, but I can’t. I miss her so much.

“We will find her soon brother, don’t worry.” He says, I feel his lips curve on my neck, is he smiling? No, it can’t be, it must be my imagination.

I finally let go of him and I sigh as I wipe the remaining tears from my eyes.

“I am sorry, bro.” I apologize, pointing at his soaked t shirt.

“It's fine, I will also feel the same if anything bad happens to my Mary.” He says, looking straight at me.

“I will make the person pay dearly, no one can hurt my mate and go scot-free.” He adds, looking extremely serious. I am delusional for sure because he smiles after that, but why do I feel like the smile is fake? I must be seeing things though, because I am so tired.

“I have to go now.” he excuses himself and leaves without even looking back. Everything has become suspicious to me.

How is my Elisa doing now, it has been almost a whole day since she has been away from me. Has she eaten, and the way she loves food, that tiny being? I smile just remembering how she shoves food continuously in her mouth when she is hungry. I can’t take this anymore, I walk backwards and take a sit on my bed. Placing my face on my arms and resting them on my knees, then I see it. Another piece of paper on the floor. I pounce on it, what surprises me is that I didn’t see it when I came earlier.

My hand shakes as I open it.

'I CAN'T REPRODUCE BECAUSE OF YOU. I WILL TAKE HER RIGHT TO DO IT TOO.' It says.

This person is such a coward, how can they use typed notes. They are also clever, because they know Elisa is human and can't communicate with any of us.

What's all this, what did I do to deserve all this. Who did I take her ability to reproduce.

My heart trembles in fear just by thinking that they are going to tamper with her womanhood? What will they do to her.

I can't just wait here to find out, I have to go find her? I rush outside my room without bothering to lock it, what's the use when my mate was kidnapped right under my nose. What kind of an Alpha am I if I can't even take care of my better half.

'You are just an a**hole Troy, that's what you are.' Finally, Torak speaks, but unfortunately, I am not in the mood right now, so I just zip it. It's his turn to experience the silent game.

“Son, please wait for me.” I hear my mother's voice calling me from behind me. I stop and turn to look at her.

“You have to eat something, son, you can't go out searching like this. You look horrible.” She adds.

“No mother, I have to find her, we have to get married today.” I say.

“Oh my son, your father is busy searching for her too, my love. Every pack has already sent troops to help with the search, we will leave no stone unturned. But you have to be strong for you to marry her when she comes back okay.” She begs, taking my hand. “ Come with me.”

She takes me to the kitchen, where I am served some food. I don't even know what food it is, my mother sits me down and starts to shove some in my mouth. I just swallow, I feel a single taste, I just eat for the sake of eating. My mind isn't even here.

Whoever did this, they better pray that I don’t catch them, because if I do, only Goddess knows what will befall them.
