Sally felt her heart clench with sudden anxiety.
"Hey, Mr. Makenzie!" she greeted with a calm demeanor.
Noticing the coffee in her hand, Luke raised an eyebrow, "Are you dozing off?"
"I'm doing alright!" Sally replied.
"If you're really that tired, why not catch some Z's?" Luke suggested.
Hearing this, Sally was a bit surprised but still smiled, "No worries, I've got this!"
"Glad to hear it!" Luke nodded and, without saying anything further, headed straight to his office.
As he walked away, Sally let out a sigh of relief, feeling the tension dissolve, and made her way to the design department.
That little scare had jolted Sally wide awake for the rest of the morning. Her design ideas were nearly polished, and she and Gina were in perfect sync tackling the StylishEdge project.
