SELENE The warehouse doors groaned open like they remembered me. The moment Rafael and I stepped inside, the entire room shifted. Twenty-plus hardened Black Vipers; killers, smugglers, men who feared almost nothing froze mid-conversation. Eyes widened. Chairs scraped back.
