John wasn't joking when he said he'll get me there fast.
We arrived at the station and found our commander standing outside, looking out into the distance like he was just watching someone leave.
Seeing that look on his face, "Commander! " I called, jumping out of the car quickly.
"Cathaway? Officer John? Aren't you supposed to be on patrol?" He asked, narrowing his brow in surprise.
I didn't give him any answer to that question but stood before him and asked, "Sir, has Dante left yet? Is he still around?"
"Dante?" He responded, looking back into the direction I met him staring at when we showed up.
Then he answered, pointing right in that path, "He just left in the van."
"Now?" My heart skipped, as I looked into the exact road my commander was pointing at.
Dante just left
