Ella's mother, brother, cousins, uncles and aunts began to ridicule Paul, chastising him for telling Bryan to confess his sins and beg for his mercy. They equally urged grandfather Orlan to give them permission to deal with Paul. Meanwhile, Paul ignored their bantering and only turned to Ella and said, “Ella, I am telling the truth. I have really asked my subordinate, Mr Moore, to deliver my birthday gifts to your Grandpa.” Pointing his middle finger disdainfully at Bryan, he continued, “This lunatic didn't secure any deal from the Ultimate Groups for your family. It's a pity that he is just a notorious and shameless liar.” “Rubbish! Paul, stop that nonsense now, sign the divorce documents and leave this place now that you still can!” Ella was burning in despicable anger and hatred against Paul. Helpless about Ella's cluelessness but determined not to allow his emotions becloud his judgement, Paul took the divorce papers to sign them. Then he asked, “Ella, don't you believe me? Do you still want to divorce me? Are you sure you won't regret your actions later? Remember that I will never accept you back later after I obliged your request by signing the divorce documents.” Hearing this, Ella got lost in thoughts. She had lived together with Paul for the past eight years and had never seen him being this bold and outspoken. ‘Could it be that he made money while in Prison such that he bought up Ultimate Groups?’ ‘He just said that the vice president of Ultimate Groups is his subordinate.’ ‘Doesn't that mean that he is the behind-the-scenes president and CEO of the company? But how is it possible?’ ‘From prison to becoming the president of a multi-trillion dollar company. Impossible!’ Ella was confused and didn't know if she was to stop Paul from signing the divorce documents and continue her marriage with him. Seeing that the entire members of the Orlan's family were defending him, a grin crept up on Bryan’s face. Then, his precious fearful heart and trembling body immediately regained its confidence and pride. With a disdainful look on his face and a cold voice, he said to Paul, “i***t, if not for the sake of grandfather Orlan, I would have crushed you to death instantly for talking back at me and lying against me whilst claiming that you are who you are not. Now, sign the divorce documents and get lost!” To everyone, he said, “I am not going to take back the deal I secured for Orlan’s group or the birthday gifts I gave to grandfather Orlan. However, Ella must divorce this i***t now and get married with me.” “Ella divorce that b*stard now and save us from this shame!” “Ella, we don't want to miss this opportunity of seeing our family climb the wealth and power pyramid through Mr Knot. Divorce that fool now!” “Ella, I will disown you if you fail to trash that useless and good-for-nothing he-goat now!” “Ella, you will cease to be my daughter if you don't divorce Paul and marry Mr Knot today!” All of them began to mount pressure on Ella to divorce Paul, including her mother, Mrs Elizabeth Orlan. “Hmph!” Ella snorted and said coldly, “sign the divorce papers and stop wasting my time. I will never regret my actions because divorcing you will forever remain my best decision in life!” “Alright, I will sign the divorce papers since you said so,” replied Paul. Then, he proceeded to sign the divorce reluctantly. However, seeing how reluctant Paul was with signing the papers, grandfather Orlan said, “Kid, I can see that you don't want to get divorced with my granddaughter, Ella. Since you refused to get divorced with Ella, what have you brought to wish me a happy birthday as you claimed? “Ella's new found love and fiancé has just gifted me a two billion dollar investment deal from Ultimate Groups, an extravagant modern mansion, and a Bentley Azure. If you can provide even half of what he gifted me with today, I will make sure Ella remains your wife.” “Haha!” Bryan laughed very disdainfully and said, “Fool, did you hear that. Grandfather Orlan said that he's going to make sure that Ella remains your wife if you can at least provide half of what I gave him as a birthday present. It's just a pity that a wretched and poverty-stricken fool like you can't even afford to present one hundred dollars, much more than providing half of my gifts today. Just sign the divorce papers and leave this place to save yourself from this shame! Haha!” “And who said that I want to remain in a marriage with this ungrateful b*tch you called granddaughter. I am only hesitant with signing the papers because of the care which her father, late Brownson Orlan showered me with because, once I sign this divorce papers, I am going to take back everything I had ever help the Orlan’s group to achieve, and when that happens, I assure you that your family is definitely going to crumble and all of you here will be on your knees begging me to help you but I will never accept your pleas then!” “Thief!” “So, Ella has been married and stayed with a mindless and despicable thief all these years!” “I would never have imagined that our family has been harbouring criminal for the past eight years!” Paul sincere claims were met with outright rejection, accusations and name calling by members of Orlan's family. “To hell with the name you just mentioned now!” Mrs Elizabeth Orlan interrupted Paul scornfully at the mention of her late husband’s name. The name she abhorred and detested after he forced their only daughter to marry a useless urchin like Paul. In her blazing anger, she once again dashed towards Paul and raised her fist to slap him. However, Paul saw the hand coming to his cheek and dodged it immediately and afterward, pushed her away gently. Mrs Elizabeth staggered and fell to the ground, groaning in unfathomable pains as her body made contact with the concrete floor. “What?! How dare you push my mother to the ground?!” Bennett roared angrily at Paul after Elizabeth fell to the ground. “I will tear you into pieces!” He added and then charged to attack him. Meanwhile, Paul only raised his fist to block his attacks and sent him flying the moment their fists made some contacts. “Paul, are you resorting to violence by attacking my family simply because I decided to divorce with you and end my sufferings?!” Paul's refusal to allow both Ella's mother and brother to humiliate as they did in the past only infuriated Ella the most and glowered, “i***t, don't force me to call the cops on you. Sign these papers and get lost now!” Without waiting for the next second, Paul appended his signature on the divorce documents and said, “It’s done. From now on, I will have nothing to do with you and your family, and I hope you won't come to beg me later!” Saying this, he turned around to leave the Orlan's family ancestral home however his path got blocked by countless armed bodyguards of the Orlan's family. “Hehe! Crazy Paul, do you think that I am going to let you go unpunished after you disregarded me and caused commotion in my place by beating up my grandson and daughter-in-law?!” Grandfather Orlan's face was contorted into a dark frown as glowered at Paul angrily. “And what do you mean by this old man?” Paul questioned him. “You will understand what I mean after receiving a thorough beating from my guards!” Grandfather Orlan replied then ordered the heavily armed bodyguards, saying, “Arrest and lock him up in our family prison. Break all his joints if he dared try to resist being arrested!”
