Soon they arrived at the place and Ella saw there were so many people there. Inside the living room of the Orlan's family ancestral home was an old man who sat on a decorated sofa while his children and grandchildren gathered around him to wish him happy birthday. The old was the grand patriarch of Orlan's family and he was in late seventies, 79-years-old to be precise. “Happy birthday Grandfather Orlan!” “Happy birthday Dad, please accept these car keys from me as your birthday gift.” “Happy birthday grandpa. I told my fiance about your birthday and he is here to celebrate with us,” one of Ella's cousins said cheerfully. “Happy birthday grand patriarch of Orlan's family.” An average height young man stood up and said pompously, “I am Simon Bush from the Bush family. I learned from Miss Loreen that today is your birthday and I have come to celebrate with you. Please accept this herbal tea brewed from a hundred-years-old ginseng plant. I spent twenty million dollars to buy this tea for you because I know that it will enhance your sight even at your age.” “Loreen, you have proven to being a great asset to the Orlan's family and not like someone here who has sworn that she would continue to be a thorn in the flesh of every member of our family by marrying and remaining with a useless, good-for-nothing, ex-convict and foolish Paul Chile.” One of Ella's uncles began to chastise Ella while praising her cousin, Loreen, for attracting someone like Mr Simon Bush into their family. “You're welcome to our Orlan’s ancestral home, Mr Bush. Please have a seat.” He added, offering Samson Bush a seat to sit on. Hearing the man’s remark, everyone who was present at the birthday turned their eyes and plastered it on Ella in a condescending manner. Ella’s face was immediately covered with shame and her heart filled with hatred hatred against Paul, increasing her determination and resolve to divorce him and remarry Bryan. “But my daughter isn't a thorn in anybody's flesh you claimed and I won't have you insult her here!” while all eyes were glaring at Ella condescendingly, a woman stepped forward to defend her. It was her mother, Mrs Elizabeth Orlan. Then she continued, “My daughter has accepted to divorce Paul and will be remarrying Bryan Knot, the young master of the Knot family and an associate with Ultimate Groups once the divorce procedures is completed. He is here with us and he wants to speak to us,” She added. Following her words, a young man dressed in an imported Italian suit stood up and introduced himself, saying, “Greeting everyone and happy birthday Grand patriarch of Orlan family. My name is Bryan Knot and I'm because of my fiancee, Miss Ella Orlan, to wish a happy birthday to grand patriarch Orlan. “Also, I want to announce to you all that I have secured a two billion dollars investment deal for the Orlan's group from our company, Ultimate Groups. Shortly from this moment, Mr John Moore, the vice president of our company will send some of our staff members to bring the investment deal. Once again, happy birthday grandpa.” Bryan knew of John Moore's plan to invest two billion dollars into Orlan's group because he was a department manager with Ultimate Groups. Although he was oblivious of Mr Moore's reason to invest such money into Orlan's group, he chose to take advantage of the opportunity. At this time, Grand patriarch Orlan smiled heartily and said, “Thank you very much Mr Bush and Mr Knot for coming to celebrate my 79th birthday with me and for your being a good fiance to my granddaughters, Loreen. “To every member of Orlan's family, I wish to say thank you so much for your presence and gift today.” Meanwhile, Paul arrived at the ancestral home of the Orlan's family and walked into the extravagant living room where the birthday party was ongoing. However, he was outrightly chastised by every member of the Orlan's family present at the party. “Who are you and what are you doing here?” “Didn't Ella's mother say that you have been divorced and no longer a live-in-grandson-in-law of Orlan's family? What are you doing here foolish Paul?!” “I'm here because of my wife Ella to wish a happy birthday to our grand patriarch,” Paul stated his mission for coming around, ignoring their tantrums. Then he continued, “Who says that Ella and I have divorced each? Mother-in-law, did you say such a thing? …” “Hey foolish Paul, stop it right there and shut that your stinking mouth up now! Who's your mother-in-law?!” Elizabeth scolded, interrupting Paul's statement. “Foolish Paul, why are you bent on embarrassing me everytime? Haven't I told you that this disease called marriage with you is over? Since you're here, kindly sign the divorce documents and disappear from my place right now never to come again!” Ella was very furious and spoke to Paul with condescension in her voice. She had endured so many ridiculing and mockery from her parents and friends all because of Paul and was not willing to tolerate it anymore. Now, she just want to divorce him outrightly and free herself from perpetual shame and ridiculing. “Elizabeth, and Ella, allow him!” Grand patriarch Orlan said and then turned to Paul and asked, “Kid, why are you so arrogant? Why are you not willing to sign the divorce papers and free my granddaughter from the b*****e of your wretchedness?” His eyes burning with hatred and anger towards Paul. The grand patriarch’s words shattered Paul's heart and he quickly said with an anger-laced voice, “And who says that I'm ignorant and wretched?! It's you and your household who are ignorant and wretched. You are not just ignorant and wretched but also heartless. For eight years, I helped the Orlan's family in building their business group to fame and even suffered miserably for a God-forsaken three years behind an underground prison bars to ensure the safety and well-being of miss Ella Orlan but because of foolishness and greeds, all of you ganged up to trash me away. But you know what? You people failed because you're the one who's at the losing end. I was actually here to wish you a happy birthday and also announced to you that I have directed my subordinate, Mr John Moore, the vice president of Ultimate Groups to send a two-billion-dollar investment contract deal to you for the Orlan's group and some other luxurious birthday gifts but since a foolish, deplorable and boring old man like you is also stupid and heartless like your children, I will no longer gift you those items!”
