Ember
She was late. I watched as she walked in to the training room and looked around the room confused. I watched my pray as she passed back and forth. I crawled down from the ceiling silently digging my claws in the wall. With my tail i switched the light off and listened to the sound of Ash's heart beat pick up. Excellent she should be scared. Getting close to the floor like a cat I gracefully slinked over to her and gave her a good shove before jumping back and hiding myself from her again. I smiled when I heard her gasp and pull her sword out of the sheath. How naive to think a sword alone could protect you. I came behind her and shoved her again and again we did this till she was finally able to predict where and when I was going to hit next.
"Next time don't draw your sword so soon. It wont protect you if you cant predict what you opponent is going to do. I'm not going to send you out to battle if your going to die and let me tell you we dont have much time." I scolded ash as i moved around setting up wooden dummys.
" ok now we are going to practice your thrust s***h and jab. Watch carefully. For all of these you need to have deadly accuracy you don't want a long dragged out battle especially when you are out numbered." I showed her how to execute every step, swing, and spin on a dummy but she could barely lift her sword let alone move with acute and light feet. She looked like a fool holding the fallen queens sword. There is no way she could be the savior of our people no way is she the queen Solaris daughter. Ash was getting angrier by the minute she was swinging her sword as hard and fast as she could and still she could not even hurt a dang scarecrow. Frustrated she turned to me
"How am i suposed to do this!?" She yelled and stromed off. I just let her go maybe some rest will help her for tomorrow's training which is going to be even harder than today.
