Chapter 4

Vincent's POV "Don't move or I'll be forced to pull the trigger." I say in a dry tone. I watch her stagger backward in fear and raise her hands at me in surrender. I sneak a glance at Alec, my right hand man and he nods his head at the gun, gesturing me to kill her. "Ple-ase pleas-e, do- not hu-rt me." The lady stammers. Her tone is shaky and her breathing is hitched. I walk towards her and grab her by the arm. Our eyes meet and I can not help but to appreciate her beautiful facial features. From her blonde curly hair, to her piercing green eyes, down to her small lips. She looks familiar too, rather she looks like someone I know. Could she be Jessica's younger sister? The one Jessica always talked about. "Who are you?" I snap at her. She gulps a lump down her throat and I can feel her whole body vibrating in fear. Judging by the way she is sexily dressed in a white tank top and a mini skirt, I can tell that she is a dancer at the club. Although I do not remember hiring her. "I-I, I-I can expl-ain." She stutters, she shuts her eyes close for a brief moment and sighs heavily. "Come on Vincent, we do not have time for this. We have bigger things to worry about, just kill the damn lady and let us move on." Alec groans in frustration. "No no please. Do not kill me. I will tell you everything but please spare me, spare my life." She pleads with tears rushing down her cheeks. I turn to Alec with mischievous smirk plastered on my lips. "Come on Rykoc. Now tell me, where is the fun in killing this innocent stunning lady? Who knows? She might be of good use to us." I say addressing Alec by his last name. He hates it when I do that. Alec rolls his eyes at me and scoffs. "We do not have time to play around and have fun Vincent. We have bigger things to focus on, remember?" He scolds. Alec can be such a sour wolf, most of the times. I point my gun at the i***t tied to the chair. I pull the trigger at the direction of his head and I watch the blood splatter around the room. Jessica's sister screams loudly at the sound of the gun and breaks down into sobs. It only makes me chuckle. "Make sure you clean this mess Alec." I state in a bored tone. He just nods his head at me and walks away. "Now, back to you Princess, who are you and didn't anyone warn you about the basement?" I ask with a raised brow. "They did, I swear I will never step my foot here ever again. As a matter of fact, I will pretend like none of this ever happened. Please just spare my life." She cries out. She is absolutely nothing like Jessica. She is soft, calm and quiet unlike fierce and strong Jessica. "That is if you make it out of here alive." I say with a small chuckle. I pause to clear my throat and continue "Tell me everything, how you got here and why you are." I mutter. "I needed a job and this guy called Daniel hired me as a dancer. We split the money amongst ourselves but I swear he takes way more than I do. The only reason I came to this basement was because I was curious. I thought this was some place where money is kept so I wanted to steal some for myself." She rants. "Daniel, that f*****g scum. I will kill him when I set my eyes on him." I say through gritted teeth. "Please just let me go now. I promise to never return." She says. Jessica's sister might have told the truth about Daniel but I know she is lying about her reason for coming to the basement, there is more to it and i know it has something to do with Jessica's disappearance. I am going to find out what it is. "I refuse to let you go just like that. It seems like you are hiding something from me." I sneer eyeing her suspiciously. I point the gun in her face and that is enough to make her scream loudly. "Fine, I will confess!" She cries out. "My name is Cassandra and my sister is Jessica. She used to work at the club here. I have not seen my sister since four days ago and the police refuse to do something about it. I had no other choice but to come here in search of my sister. I swear that is all." She rants. Jessica has messed with the wrong people. I eye Cassandra from head to toe. She could be useful. I admire her beauty and confidence. It would be a waste to let her go just like that. I need to keep her by my side. It is a win for me anyways, if I can have her as my wife until I no longer have use for her, that would get Mr Santi, my dad off my back for the mean time. That way, I would be able to inherit his wealth too. Actually, it is a huge win for me and Cassandra looks like the perfect girl for the task. "Are you married?" I ask with a raised brow. She looks taken aback by my sudden question but replies anyways "No, I am not." "Marry me then." I blurt out. "What?" She yells in surprise. I clear my throat and rearrange my words in a much more clearer way for her to understand. "You need to find your sister, Jessica. I can help you find her. I am not asking for much. In return be my bride for a while. All I need to do is test your loyalty for a month and then we dive right into marriage after that." I say nonchalantly. Her next action takes me off guard, she turns around and runs towards the door. I do not stop her though, I let her run because I know she will be back.
