Morning Consequences

1360 Words
Leah POV I woke up with the heavy weight of Benedict's arm trapped across my waist and the sickening realization that my pride had completely surrendered to his skin. The early morning sun was just beginning to cut through the heavy gray clouds outside, casting long shadows across the massive wooden beams of his bedroom ceiling. My breath hitched as I tried to pull away without waking him. The scent of pine and sweat still hung thick in the air, a constant reminder of how easily I had let him break my walls down against the back of his bedroom door. Benedict shifted behind me, his hold tightening until my back was pressed flush against his broad chest. "Don't run, Leah," he grumbled, his voice thick and rough with sleep. "I am not running," I lied, keeping my eyes fixed on the cold stone fireplace across the room. "I need to check on Ethan." "He is sleeping," Benedict said, resting his heavy chin right on the top of my shoulder. "Charlotte came up at dawn while you were still passed out. She said his fever is gone. Olivar is sitting outside his room, watching the door like a hawk." "Olivar is doing his job," I said, trying to slide out from under his heavy forearm. "Is that all he is to you?" Benedict asked softly, his hand sliding slowly up my bare stomach to cup the underside of my breast. "A bodyguard?" My skin flared at his touch, the heat pooling fast between my legs despite the anger tightening in my chest. "He is the man who helped me build a life after you threw me away." Benedict pulled me around until I was lying on my back, looking straight up into his dark golden eyes. The lazy warmth in his face vanished, replaced by a dark, possessesive shadows. "Do not speak his name in my bed," Benedict growled. "It is not your bed I care about," I snapped back, leaning up to press my face close to his. "It is my son. Now let me go." "Our son," Benedict corrected, his thumb pressing firmly into my lower lip, pulling it down slightly. "And you are not leaving this bed until we settle what happened last night." "Last night was a mistake," I whispered, though my breath hitched as his hand slid lower, trailing down my belly to part my thighs. "You call this a mistake?" Benedict leaned down, kissing the sensitive spot under my jaw while his fingers brushed against my wet entrance. "Your body remembers every touch, Leah. You were dripping for me before I even unbuttoned your pants." "It was just the bond," I choked out, trying to keep my voice steady while his thumb rubbed slow, agonizing circles against my swollen nub. "Liar," he growled into my neck. He nipped at the soft flesh, making me arch my back off the mattress. "The bond gives you a pull. It does not make you cry out my name like you are dying for me." "Stop," I gasped, my fingers tangling in the sheets as a fresh wave of heat washed through my veins. "Make me," he whispered, repeating the exact words from the night before. He didn't wait for my answer. Benedict slid two fingers deep inside me, catching the quick, slick stretch of my body. A loud gasp escaped my lips, my thighs opening wider against my will to give him better access. "Look at you," he murmured, watching my face while his hand moved in a fast, rhythmic stroke. "So ready for me again. Tell me you don't want this." "I hate how easy it is for you," I sobbed out, my hips rising to meet the pressure of his hand. "I hate that you can just touch me and break everything I built." "I don't want to break you, Leah," he said, his voice dropping into a deep, velvety rasp as he pulled his fingers out and guided his thick length against my slick opening. "I want to rebuild everything I ruined." Before I could reply, he drove himself inside me in one smooth, unrelenting thrust. The sheer size of him stretched me completely, filling the empty ache that had lingered in my core for five long years. I threw my head back against the pillow, a low moan bursting from my throat. "God, you feel so good," Benedict panted, gripping my hips with white-knuckled force. He began to move, setting a steady, deliberate pace that lifted me off the mattress with every stroke. "Benedict..." I gasped, my hands flying up to grip his broad shoulders. The heavy muscles of his back flexed beneath my palm as he drove deeper into me, hitting that sharp, sweet spot that made my vision blur with heat. "Say my name again," he demanded, his golden eyes burning into mine as he picked up the pace, his thrusts becoming faster, harder, pounding against my core until the bed frame creaked beneath us. "Benedict!" I cried out, abandoning every drop of my control as the pleasure began to coil tight and violent in my lower belly. "That's it," he growled, leaning down to capture my lips in a bruised, messy kiss. He pounded into me with relentless speed, his hips slamming against mine, his hot skin sliding against mine in a rhythm that left no room for thought or memory. I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him as deep inside as he could possibly go. The friction was unbearable, a sweet torture that had my entire body shivering. The gold mate bond flared bright in my chest, singing out like a wild storm as our skin met. "I am coming, Leah," he growled against my mouth, his thrusts becoming short, brutal jabs as he pushed through his own edge. The coil inside me snapped wide open. My inner walls clamped down hard on his thick shaft, squeezing him violently as a intense orgasm hit me, sending ripples of electricity straight through my toes. I screamed into his mouth, my hands clawing at his back. Benedict let out a deep, gut-wrenching roar into my neck, driving himself in one final, deep thrust before his release hit him. He shivered violently over me, spilling his hot seed deep inside my womb, holding me so tightly against his chest that I could barely breathe. We lay there in the quiet room for minutes, both of us gasping for air, our skin soaked in sweat. His weight was heavy on top of me, but for the first time in five years, the heavy silence didn't feel cold. A sudden, sharp knock at the heavy bedroom door broke the silence. "Alpha," Charlotte's voice called out from the hallway, sounding tense and urgent. "You need to come downstairs right now. The pack elders are in the hall, and they brought the council representatives. They know Leah is here." Benedict froze. He slowly lifted his head, his golden eyes clearing as the reality of his title crashed back into the room. "Tell them to wait," Benedict barked toward the door, his voice like iron. "They aren't waiting, Benedict," Charlotte replied through the wood. "They are demanding to see the boy." I sat up instantly, shoving Benedict off me with every bit of strength I had left. The heat of the bed vanished, replaced by a freezing rush of pure terror. "They will not touch my son," I said, grabbing my clothes from the floor with shaking hands. Benedict swung his legs over the side of the bed, pulling his pants on in one fluid motion. "They won't get near him, Leah. I promise you." "Your promises cost me five years of my life, Benedict," I said, pulling my dark shirt over my head and glaring at him with cold, clear eyes. "If those elders take one step toward Ethan, I will use every resource my company owns to tear this pack apart." Benedict looked at me, his jaw set firm, his golden eyes glowing with a dark promise of his own. "Then let us go down and show them who they are dealing with."
