“The Alpha seems weird today,” mum whispered after Jace went out. She eyed me first before storing the medicine that Jace brought in the kit. I feel like she had sensed something already throughout the meal which happened just an hour ago.
Not to mention that my heart almost exploded during breakfast as Jace started to give mum some hint. I thought he would leave after giving me the meds, but the thick-faced Alpha had ordered us to join him to eat…in our house. For the first time, I had known how scamp he was.
