CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Harrison drove to the arena with a gut feeling that he should’ve stayed with Talia. It had been almost two weeks since he had frantically flown home from Boston. And finding out that Talia was further along than they’d thought, he’d felt uneasy every day since. Asking for a personal day was not something the players did, but Talia having those Braxton Hicks contractions had shaken him up. He wasn’t sure he’d had a full night’s sleep since.
Talia was now almost thirty-nine weeks along, and every little noise she made during the night had him on alert, wondering if it was baby time.
Parking his car in the team lot, that nagging feeling stayed in his stomach. Something wasn’t right, or maybe he was just being a worrier.
