Literally watch your step

     There was a person lurking in the dark, that person wear all black and a face mask. As soon as my eyes landed on their eyes, they were already gone. It's like they teleported into somewhere. I'm still hugging Flynn and I do not want to make him anxious. Maybe I was just hallucinating or something.

     I let go of the hug and I told him that we should get going since it's too dark. The stars  are shining bright throughout the sky. There were bright lights from street lamps, we saw an open market and we decided to go there.

     "Would you like to try the local food here?" Flynn asked.

     "Sure, why not, let's grab a snack." 

     There were bright signs for each storefronts, some are selling drinks, the others are snacks, and some are meals.

     "What would you like to try?" Flynn asked.

     "Hmm, I'm not sure, I believe I have never tried any of these. I guess I'll go with the snacks and drinks. How about you?" 

     "As silly as it sounds, I'm still hungry, so I'll go with the meals and drinks." He replied.

     "Wow, I never knew my husbands was a huge food lover." I jokingly told him and laughed.

     "You silly woman, of course I love food, that's the main reason I signed up for cooking classes." 

     We headed first to the storefront that sells meals because the time preparation is a bit longer than the snack ones. 

     "Good evening, beautiful couple, what would you like to order?" The saleslady asked us.

     "I'll have a large beef pita doner, and a winter melon shake, I'll also have a sour cream french fries." Flynn replied.

     "Copy that sir, your order will be out in several minutes." 

     "Okay, we'll be back."

     "Sure!" The saleslady replied.

     "Now let's order your food." Flynn said.

     We went to another storefront, the one that is selling pizza slices and potato tornado.

     "Good evening ma'am and sir, what can I get for you?" The salesman asked.

     "I'll have a slice of hawaiian pizza with extra cheese, one potato tornado, and pineapple juice." I said.

     "Okay ma'am, your order will be done right after." 

     We waited for my order to come, and it's really fast, we literally waited for like 5 minutes. It really is a fast food corner. 

     "Here's your order ma'am, the total is 500 Nofid."

     Flynn was on a bench waiting for his order so I paid my order. "Sure, here you go." 

     "Thank you for ordering! Have a nice day!" The salesman said.

     "Thank you too, have a great day!' I replied. 

     I went to Flynn and his order is out by the time I got in our seat. The open market had benches for two and cute tables. The lights were kinda vintage looking and it doesn't hurt my eyes, the place is a vibe. 

     We sat on one of the tables for two and we started eating. The pizza is not necessarily hot, just warm enough to not burn the roof of my tongue. I really miss eating potato tornado, I haven't had this for quite some time now. 

     "Are you enjoying the food here?" Flynn asked.

     "Absolutely! I've been loving the potato tornado, it's been ages since I last ate one. How about you?" 

     "Well, the pita doner is an absolute bomb, I'm also liking the sour cream french fries. It's actually my first time ordering a sour cream french fries, because I always used to order cheese french fries back then." 

     "You should try dipping a potato chip in sour cream, I'm telling you, you're gonna love that one." I suggested. 

     "Yeah, I'm gonna try that tomorrow." 

     "Make sure to save for me!" I jokingly said.

     "Don't worry, we will eat that together."

     Some random movement in the dark distracted me from replying to what Flynn was saying. Is it still the same person I saw earlier? There's no way since it literally flew and I never saw it coming back. Maybe it's just a wild animal or something?

     I observed the surroundings for quite a bit, and it seems like it has been gone, whatever that is. 

     We finished our meal and continued to walk since the hotel where we are checked in is near the open market. The cold breeze is so comforting, if I had the chance, I would go on night strolls almost everyday.

     Flynn showed his card to the front desk receptionist implying that we are checking back in to the hotel room. We used the elevator to get up in our room.

     We were pretty tired and the moment we went inside the hotel room, we immediately lay on the bed. The bed looks so comfy and it's hard to get out, but we have a couple of things to do first before we could finally settle down.

     I got up to change my clothes, I took a quick warm shower to ease all the tension in my body, it really works for me. I got out of the shower and change into a comfortable pajamas. I then went into the kitchen to make myself some warm tea before sleeping.

     "Hey love, do you want some warm tea? I'm making one, and I'm just wondering if you want one too?" I asked Flynn.

     "Yeah sure, I like mine to have no added sugar." He clarified.

     "Of course, coming right up!" 

     I placed the electronic heater and get some tea in the shelves. I put warm water on 2 cups, I added a teaspoon of honey in my tea, while leaving Flynn's tea as it is. 

     "Here's your tea, honey." I said to him as I place his cup of tea on his night stand.

     "Hey babe, I was just wondering, we never settled to a permanent call sign, am I right?" 

     "Not that I remember." I jokingly told him and laughed right after.

     "I mean, why limit ourselves when we can get creative everyday in our call sign?" I told him.

     "Yeah, you got a point, I can't argue." He said while laughing.

     I sat in the bed and felt the soft mattress. After some time, I lay down and the next thing I know, I was sleeping beside a man whom I didn't know earlier. 

     It's been several minutes, and I still can't sleep. Yeah sure, my eyes are closed, but my thoughts are not. I'm still thinking about that thing I spotted earlier. Should I tell Flynn about this? I don't know, I don't really want to bother and make him worry. Sigh, I'm sure this will pass and everything is just fine.
