"Third person's POV"   As Chelly turned to face Eric, he saw the tears on Chelly's face. That's when his anger hit the peak point and he yelled, "don't you have any shame? For all these years you have been abusing my mother the way Jack did to her."    Chelly's eyes got widely opened after witnessing the harsh words of her son.    Little did Eric knew Ace was comforting Chelly after what she heard the psychiatrist said. She was crying because she was worried about Eric and his condition.    "Abusing? No, son. He wasn't abusing me. You got it wrong," Chelly spoke while inching towards Eric. She held Eric's face with the palms of her hands. Before she could add further Eric spoke in between, "stop defending him, mom. I now know it all. I know why this man was trying to convince me to find a girl and settled down."    "You took advantage of my mother's helplessness. I have no respect left for you. I hate you and I will never forgive you. Never," when Chelly perceived Eric's words, she looked towards where Ace was standing.    His eyes were filled with tears ready to fall in no time. Chelly could only imagine how hurt Ace would be after witnessing Eric's behavior. Since Eric was 5 years old, Ace had been taking care of Eric as his son. He never discriminated between Ava and Eric. He never made Eric feel that he was a stepson of Ace.    Ace couldn't wait there any longer. He didn't know what to say in order to console Eric. He decided to leave the place before he loses his control over the tears which were filled in his eyes.    Chelly could only assume how hurt Ace was that he left the place without saying a word. Chelly decided to go after Ace but Eric held her hand and stopped her.    "You don't have to go after him. I can take care of you. You no longer have to bear any torture from that filthy man," Eric spoke in vengeance.    Chelly couldn't bear to hear any more words against the person who helped her when no one else was there for her. She unintentionally slapped her son and added," enough is enough, Eric. I don't want to hear any more words against him. You have no idea how nice of a man he was and you have no idea I wasn't crying because of him. In fact, I was crying because of you. It wasn't Ace who was trying to convince you to get settled. It was me. I had no guts to talk about it with you so I asked him to do so. And that was my biggest mistake."   Tears started to roll from a corner of Chelly's eyes as she felt she was the culprit for not having the dare to discuss the matter with her son before.    Eric stood there motionless. He couldn't believe that his mother slapped him for the first time in his entire life. He now realized Chelly was telling the truth.    "How do I explain to you that there's a lot of difference between what Jack did to me and having s*x. It's a whole two different things. What Jack gave me was pain and what Ace gave me was happiness. His love and care made me forgot about what Jack did," keeping her shyness aside, Chelly decided to talk on the topic; openly.    "All I can say is my life was hell until I met Ace and you were the reason why we both met. He never placed a finger on me with the purpose of hurting me. In fact, he was the reason why I started living and dreaming again. He accepted you as his own child even though you aren't his blood. He gave you and me all the happiness which I thought we would never get."   "My dear son, you should go and apologize to him. He was an angel who came into our lives. Do you even realize how hurt he is after hearing your raspy words?" Chelly tried her best to make her son understand what Ace meant to her.    The next moment Chelly saw Eric wrapping both arms around her for a comforting hug.    "We got a call from your psychiatrist saying how you acted there. I got so worried for you which made me cry. So you see, son, your father was just trying to console me," Chelly explained while sniffing her nose.    "You should go and apologize to your father," Chelly suggested after pulling herself free from Eric's grip.    "I don't know how I'm going to face him after what I said to him. I should have believed in his words when he first tried to make me understand the difference between torture and love," Eric spoke in a low voice. Repentance was clearly visible in his eyes.    Chelly reached her hand to Eric's face and cherished it while adding, "you know son? It's never too late to do the right thing."   Eric gave a gentle smile.    Chelly was feeling much relieved than before. She was now assured that her son believed in her each word she spat.    "And there's one more thing you need to know, son."   "What's that?" Eric asked while wiggling his brows.    "There's something like family rule regarding how they share their will and inheritance. Your father got your grandfather's share on the will after he got an offspring. It's the same rule for all. Your father's property will be divided in half. One half for Ava and the other for you. Only if you both have any offspring. If not, your part of the share will be automatically transferred to an NGO," Chelly explained.    "So that means in order to protect our family's inheritance, I need to have an offspring?" Eric asked in shock.    "Yes! That's one of the main reasons why your father was trying to convince you to get settled," Chelly informed.    "So he wasn't really manipulating me to do something bad? On the other hand, he was thinking of my own beneficence?" Eric confirmed.    "Yes, my dear son. Now go and apologize to your father. He will be very disappointed." Chelly smiled.    Eric nodded his head in response. Without waiting any longer, he strolled towards the living room to search for Ace.    After searching for Ace inside the living room, Eric went to Ace's room. He tapped on the door multiple times but there was no response. He decided to twist the doorknob and open the room. Eric was shocked when he couldn't find Ace inside the room.    Eric was now worried about Ace. He was regretting whatever he said to Ace more than before.    After searching the vast house for almost half an hour, Eric found Ace sitting on a bench placed near the swimming pool which was located outside of the house.    Ace was devastating after hearing Eric's words. He had no hatred towards Eric because he understands how it has been felt for someone who always thought bad about s*x. He was worried thinking that will ever Eric be able to forgive him.
