Ava ran towards the elevator while laughing. Eric kept running after his sister till she was gone out of sight as she got inside the elevator.
When the elevator returned, Eric got inside it while trying to catch his breath; he was panting while signs of happiness were written on his face. Although he looked fine from the outside, his heart was racing faster as the time of starting a completely new life with almost a stranger was coming close.
Eric kept praying and hoping that the new experience he was about to face would turn out to be a good one. A one that he would never have to regret.
