Chapter 2

When she woke she saw herself in another empty room

Why am I here please tell me she said begging the guy who kidn*pped her

I was hired to kidnap and put an end to your life the man finally said

By who she asked with tears in her eyes

I really don't know who the main man is because we are not allowed to know our job is to execute the plan and get paid he said coldly with no emotion

Then why am I still breathing she asked still crying

I don't know, I couldn't pull the trigger the man said

I guess Donald did this to me he is my well known enemy .... can I go home?? I promise I'll not say a single word to the police, I can pay you any amount you want Anna said

You think it's about the money?? You spoilt rich brat

You rich people think you can get your way through anything just because you have the money huh?

No no no please don't be offended I'm just begging for my life please let me go

He ignored her and pushed a plate of food to her direction "eat up" he said coldly

I'm not hungry anna said

I need to use the bathroom

There's no bathroom here, we are in the middle of no where he said

Why do you live in the middle of no where Anna asked

I don't live here I'm only hiding and trying to protect you

Anna decided to keep quiet but she was too curious to stay quiet so she kept on asking him questions

My name does not matter its just the two of us here so anytime you speak I know it's me you are referring to he said

You don't have to be so hard, by the way my name is Anna I'm sure you already know that cos you were sent to kidnap me she said with a sad face

And I still want to know why you haven't killed me she said looking at him straight in the eye with no fear

He turned his face the other way and didn't reply

And who was that man that made me unconscious and why were both of you in a fight

You need to get some sleep it's late he said as he laid down by the door

Ugh why are you so hard to c***k she said and laid down too but she couldn't sleep all she could think about was how to escape

Don't try anything funny I may loose my temper and kill you he said with horror in his voice

Wow this man is scary she said to herself but she was still determined to escape

By the time it was midnight and her kidnapper was deep asleep she managed to bite through the rope with her teeth and was able to set her hands free which made it easier for her to lose the rope on her leg without making a sound, she knew she couldn't pass through the door cos he was right there so she opened the window being able to escape she ran as fast as she could but there was no trail leading anywhere, he was actually right they were in the middle of no where they were deep inside the forest she continued run without looking back till she was far enough so she stopped to catch her breath

She could hear wolves howling but what she didn't realize was that there was one behind her

When she turned she screamed and it came at her and bit her leg with its sharp teeth she screamed out of pain and this time it was really loud

Within seconds her kidnapper had appeared to save her

When she saw him she blacked out

When she woke up she found him cleaning her wounds gently

Why are you this stubborn, I knew when you left this house I knew you wouldn't get too far and if the wolves eat you up they are just making my job easy, you are lucky it wasn't a pack of wolves that found you, you would have been long gone and I told that you we were in the middle of now where and you still thought you could run away, what were you thinking huh? Where were you running to? now see what you got your self into, this time he was really pissed off

I'm sorry I was just scared she said in tears

Next time don't leave this place and don't go anywhere without me, don't even open the door to step your foot out, an I clear?

Yes sir she said obediently

You legs is badly damaged but you'll be fine he said immediately he was done treating her leg, he didn't bother tying her up

Now get some sleep and don't try anything stupid this time he said as he stood up to lock the window tight enough that we wouldn't even dare try to open it

(The next day)

He woke up very early to go hunting and bring back meat before she wakes up and by the time he was back she was still sleeping

She must really be tired from all that running yesterday

After roasting and spicing up the meat he woke her up

Hey you've slept enough wake up and eat he said

She was shocked because she hadn't had the chance to look at his face properly but damn he was so handsome she couldn't stop staring

He started back because she was the most beautiful woman he has ever laid his eyes on

The both stated at each other until the atmosphere became awkward

he.. her...here breakfast is ready he said as he left the room immediately

She ate and enjoyed every bite she took and when he came back she could help but smile and comment on how spicy and amazing the food was

So now that I have eaten your meat can you tell me you name and why we are in the middle of no where

Please please tell me why we are here and why have you been looking through the window as if you are expecting someone is it the man who slap me she asked as she remembered how hot the slap was??

The man who slapped you is my father and he wants me to kill you to prove to him that I'm not weak

My father was always paid to kidnap bad people, people who did the wrong things in the community and that is how he was able to provide for us so we stayed far away from the city in other to be safe just incase he is caught no one will find us

Not until karma decided to pay us a visit on one faithful day when my mom decided to go to the city to get me new clothes for my 10th birthday, her last words were

"I'll be back before you know it ok honey"

but she never came back,

months later we hard on the radio about bodies that have been kidn*pped and found dead, my mother was one of them and I was just 9 years old he said in tears.

After mourning her death my dad got old so I thought he had changed not until 17 years later that was two months ago when we got financially empty and couldn't eat a full meal, he demanded that I continued from where he stopped and threatened to disown me if I don't

So I had to do it because he is the only family I have left

He deceived me by always saying

"They are all bad people and need to be taken out of this world to face judgment in the life after" these were always his words so I agreed to do it since they were bad people

And on my first hit that was the day I kidn*pped you, you were sleeping so peacefully in the car and I wondered how an innocent young woman like you could even hurt a fly I couldn't stop but see my mother in you she was also peaceful and always cried anytime my dad goes on a hit I wonder how she was able to live with a man like him for so long.

By the time he was done saying he was I tears Anna couldn't but hold him to her chest, she felt really bad for him and had alot of questions going through her mind she just had to ask

If I wasn't sleeping peacefully at the back of that car would you have killed me Anna asked

I would never kill anyone for money and I'm really sorry for everything I made you go through he said still in tears

Now we have to get out of here ok I'm a lawyer and I promise to protect if you expose the others

What?? He said as I drew far a way from her instantly I didn't tell you all this so you can turn me in to the police, you know what just forget I said anything Aaron said

I'm sorry if I scared you but alot of people are dying every day because of jobs like this and in my case I'm sure it's a colleague of mine that called for this hit on me and he should pay for it justice should be made

People only do this to survive

To survive at the cost of other people's lives these people have families, you mean if it was your dad that was sent to kidnap me I would have been dead and long gone?Anna asked angrily

Ok fine Anna said but she was determined to convince him

(Two weeks later)

Laughter was heard coming from both of them

Her legs were much better and she had just taken her bath, she washed her clothes so he offer her one of the clothes he was able to park before leaving his father's house

Normal she would tell him to leave the room but this time she let him watch her as she got dressed, he was so speechless because was beautiful both inside and out he had never seen any woman as perfect as her when she got dressed she continued the conversation like nothing happened

You are so funny Anna said as the two of them were getting along so well

He was still speechless but he managed to make a sentence

I should go get dinner he said as he left the room like he was looking for air

When he came back she was so happy to see him she collected the animal from his hand and made it clear to him that she was preparing dinner and he reluctantly agreeded

When she was done they sat down to eat

I'm sure it'll taste better than yours she added

So when are we leaving this place Aaron asked

The funny thing is that I don't want to leave I feel free we don't need anyone she said happily

What about your parents

She suddenly felt bad... I know my mom won't be able to sleep well at night and dad will be so worried, I miss them so much

It's ok I'm here ok Aaron said

What about your boyfriend?

I don't have a boyfriend my last relationship was hell she said

You don't? Aaron said smiling

So then can be you boyfriend he finally had the courage to ask her

He was actually scared of asking her to be his girl and he knew what her response will be because who falls in love with the man that kidn*pped them...but he was falling in love with her and was ready to do anything to protect her and keep her safe

Before he met her he didn't know he would ever be able to laugh that hard at jokes and look at him now all he does is either smile or laugh anytime he was around her

He didn't know what it was but he was definitely sure it's was love

Let's get some sleep ok he said because the atmosphere became awkward so he went to his normal sleeping spot which was by the door

Its actually cold today Anna said

He had never slept next to a woman before thos he sees how it's done on TV so he wasn't afraid to try it he walked to her mat and laid down behind her holding her so close that she could feel his heart beat

I hope I'm not suffocating you he asked with caution

She blushed and said no you are not

They finally fell asleep and where woken up by the barking of several dogs and flash lights

Wake up Anna it must be my dad I'm sure he is looking for us so we have to leave now

Aaron said as they hurriedly packed up what they could carry and ran out of the house going the opposite direction from where the dogs were barking

Anna couldn't run fast cos her leg wasn't completely healed so he carried her on his back and they ran deeper and deeper into the woods until they could no longer hear the dogs bark

He dropped her to catch his breath and they kept on walking

We are far enough can't we wait a bit Anna asked

No we can't, I'm sure he entered the house and found our belongings so he knows we are close by Aaron said still breathing hard

They kept on walking for another 24 hours this time Anna was really tired and couldn't take it anymore

We are almost there Aaron said

Well you said 5 hours ago

Ok now I mean it just a little more steps and we will find a main road Aaron assured her

Anna Stubbornly refused so without her permission he carried her on his back and they kept on moving

Put me down I said put me down she said as she struggled but he didn't listen to her,

Now who is Stubborn Anna asked with a grin after she got tired of struggling

they walked a little further till they could hear the sound of cars on high speed

Oh my God we made it Anna said happily

Aaron dropped her down

No I have some things I need to sort out

Before he could finish his sentence she kissed him so intensely that he had tears coming out of his eyes

I'm sorry he said and ran into the woods after they had shared a kiss

Noooooooo nooooooo Anna said as she tried to follow him but couldn't catch up so she fell to the ground and cried soo hard that her heart felt like it'll burst into tiny pieces and from where Aaron was he could hear her and it pained his heart that he was leaving her so he broke down into tears.

but he did it for her own good

Anna stood up and walked to the road where she could get help and a car that will take her home she finally got some one and gave him her address this time she prayed in her heart that she'll get home safe and see Aaron again, after her prayer she passed out

(The next day)

Anna woke up in her bed all cleaned up

I'm home she said

She was supposed to be happy but she was not she was only happy that she had the chance to see her parents again

Oh my baby you are awake her mother said to her as she hugged her

Mama Anna said in tears where is dad

He is outside with the guy that brought you home

I'm so glad you are home safe

Who did this to you oh my dear daughter we were so worried the police were all over looking for you

It fine maa all that matters is that I'm here ok

But all she could think about was Aaron how could she miss the person who kidn*pped her how on earth could she do that when at a point her life was at his mercy and with just one shot she'd be dead how can she fall in love with someone capable of being a monster she said as tears flowed down her eyes

He is a monster she said to herself

The family held a welcome back ceremony and invited everyone to join they celebrate the release of their precious daughter

Donald didn't come you see I knew it was him that hired them to kidnap me and he couldn't believe I was still alive Anna said to sidney with full assurance

I know right where the only words sidney could say

I'll make sure I put him behind bars she said with determination in her voice

(One year later)

He is is a monster she still said to herself as she was still finding reasons to hate him cos she think it was normal to fall in love with a man like that but she still had his clothes with her the one he gave her to put on, on their last day together and she misses him so much

Hell no I'm not in love with him it's just infatuation she tried to convince herself

The where are all this mails coming from she said as she went through it
