The contract

Delilah's POV

"Please Vina...gather yourself...this is just a misunderstanding between you two.Talk to him and sort it out dear",I tried consoling my daughter who was sobbing nonstop for the past one hour.

"Mom is right Vina...You both have to talk to get out of this mess",Ian  was trying to comfort her.We both were trying to talk some sense into her but she was not ready to listen.

"I would never forgive him for that contract.I know it was made long back and back then I never bothered about it thinking it was just for a year.But I never imagined that he and his friend had planned to trap me in that vile contract all the way along",she cried out in agony.

"Cupcake ,maybe David also didn't know the details of the contract.He also looked surprised while Alan declared that you both were still bound by the contract.You should both sort it out by talking calmly to each other",he suggested.

"For God's sake stop taking his side Ian.I have forgiven him for every humiliation that I suffered ,but not this.I can never forgive him for this.I don't care about him accepting me as his wife in public... but my kids?What is their fault in this?I should have known that he would never accept them..that's why he asked Mr.Wills to prepare such a contract.I don't care whether my children inherit his properties or not because neither me nor my kids need his property or wealth.But the only fact that irks me is that the contract also means that my kids will never be acknowledged by him.We will be considered as his dirty little secret which I don't accept,because I am a mother now and I would never let anyone degrade my children in any way possible",she  responded to Ian harshly.

As her mother,I knew her insecurities.No mother can tolerate if  her children are treated with contempt.After surviving the murder attempt,Vina had and still have trust issues and insecurities.And now with the revelation made by Alan that the contract was still intact,her insecurities for her children heightened to the peak.My child has always suffered and when she was going to give him a chance ,everything got ruined again.She was crying nonstop while explaining the contract clauses.I could feel that she was insecure for Asher and Alyssa.She had always feared whether David will accept them or not.And now the stupid contract has increased the misunderstandings between them again.

"Mom,Ian...promise me...You will never let him know about my Asher and Alyssa",she looked at us through her teary eyes.

"But cupcake..it is wrong...he deserve to know about his kids",Ian told her.

"He doesn't deserve me or my kids",she sneered at Ian.

"Enough of your childishness Davina...you are not a kid.Use your brain...that contract was made long back and by the surprised look on David's face it is quite evident that he too was unaware of it.And he had also asked Alan to terminate it.And Alan didn't because he thought you were dead.And stop acting like a brainless person and atleast cut him some slack.whatever that contract is ,it can always be terminated.You are just jumping into conclusions instead of thinking like an adult.And no...I'm not siding with anyone...I'm just stating the facts.You are trying to keep his kids away from him just because of a stupid clause in that nonsensical contract.The way David is around you like a lost puppy,do you think he will not accept Asher and Alyssa if he comes to know about them.Your dad and Damien are over protective of you...because they think you are a porecelain doll and will break any moment.I won't blame them because as for your dad ,he is not ready to part from you and he is scared that you might get hurt again.And Damien,he has your dad's impulsive behaviour...so it's only natural that he hates the idea of you and David being together.But think about Asher and Alyssa...they are growing up fast.Soon they will ask you about their dad.Then what will you do.They will blame you for keeping them away from their father.Do you want that?So atleast for them talk to David and sort out your differences",I told her sternly.

"And feel free to punch him for making that contract" ,Ian winked at her.

"And don't worry I will punch that dumbass attorney for making you sign such a reckless contract",Ian consoled his sister by patting her hair.

"I-I don't know anymore what to do right now,mom.I-I'm confused"...she sobbed.

"For now...take rest darling...cry your heart out to your content...but after that confront David...and as Ian suggested you can punch him also",I said hugging her .

After asking her to take rest ,Ian and me walked out of her room.

"Ian...Did you do what I had asked you to do?I had a hunch that it will be our last resort to unite them" ,I asked him filled with worry.

"Yes mom...he should be here by now",he replied.

"Good."

"But mom ...What about dad and Damien?"

"Don't worry sweetheart, I will handle them?"

"I just hope everything is sorted out before it goes out of our hands.She was so happy and wanted to surprise David with the kids and see what happened.I think their destiny is testing them both",I murmured holding my head.

"Ian..go and ask David whether he was aware of this contract.I don't want Vina to suffer anymore.I want her to have a peaceful life.Ask him to find a way to terminate the contract as soon as possible if he wants her back in his life".

"Yes mom...I'm going right away",he said before walking towards David's room while I looked at his disappearing figure thinking what destiny has in store for David and Davina.

David's POV

"Ouch...what was that for?",Alan asked me holding his stomach as I had punched him hard.

"That's for hurting my angel...You made her cry.And I won't tolerate tears in her eyes".

"But ...I helped you out ,didnt I?",he reasoned with me.

"Help...was that even help?...you ruined everything..And what sort of contract did you make?I had clearly told you to terminate the contract and you don't understand a simple thing like that",I asked him in frustration.

"But it is because of my contract ,she is still your wife and you have your claim on her right",he argued.

"I want each and every details of the contract right now...just f*****g spit it out",I barked at  him.

"Woah woah woah man...give me a moment ...I will explain..."he said taking out his cellphone.

"Here it goes" ..he stated.

"Clause No.1 she will have to stay along with you in your mansion".

"Ok...that's fine".

"She can't disclose her relationship status with you to the media".

"What?...that's ridiculous".

"You have the sole right to annul this marriage anytime you want".

"Hmmm..."

"She will get an amount of 100 million dollars only after the end of the contract term".

"Ughh..that's nothing but a mistake",I rubbed my chin in frustration.

"She or her progeny will have no inheritance in any of the property or business the Kings have"."he explained further angering me to no extent.

"What the hell is that last clause?And I had just asked you to make a contract for 1 year with a remuneration of 100 million dollars.How dare you add such reckless clauses on the contract...you bloody moron",I yelled at him.

"David..I thought she was a gold..."he tried to explain his side.

"Just shut up ...don't use that word on her ...she is nothing like that.And why did you add that clause about progeny",I cut him off unable to hear something like that about my Siya.I am equally responsible for this mess.I too had misunderstood my angel at that time.

"I-I just thought that she might try to claim rights on your property by emotionally blackmailing you with kids in case you both made one",he clarified his stand.

"You bastard"...Ian who walked in angrily punched Alan on his stomach.

"Ouch...what's with you both?Are you planning my funeral?",Alan yelled.

"Don't tempt me",Ian said furiously.

"Why the hell did you punch me?",Alan glared at Ian who punched him again.

"What the hell is wrong with you?",Alan sneered at Ian.

"The first one was for thinking of my cupcake as a gold digger and the second one was for bringing up that stupid contract thing",Ian explained like nothing happened.

"I always knew you were an ass,but I never imagined that you were the most idiotic person I would  ever meet in my life.Who the hell made you an attorney?Did you bribe the examiner to pass your exams.I really think so",he snapped at Alan.

"And David...You don't need any other enemy in life.He is more than enough .He is an enemy in friend's disguise",he vented out his frustration.

"Siya...how is she?Is she alright?",I was worried about my angel.

"What do you think ? Will she be alright after your friend's declaration when she remembers the contract completely.She thinks it was deliberate from your side",Ian replied.

"I know and she has every right to think so.Please help me Ian,I want to change what happened to us.Please I will do anything to get my redemption,anything to make her mine again",I literally begged him.

"Anything?...Then divorce her",he said shocking me.

"Ian...I cannot do that...She will go away from me...Please don't ask me to divorce her Ian.Don't you know how I was in darkness all these years.And now the Gods have shown mercy on me by giving her back .And I can't afford to lose her once again...I maybe selfish...no I'm selfish when it comes to her.Only she can save me from this pain.My heart broke the moment I thought I lost her.But it was still beating just because it held my angel's memories.But if I let her go once again I know my heart will stop beating,because neither can it bear the pain of losing her nor does it have the strength to endure the separation.Don't do this to me,Ian...Don't do this to us",I fell down on my knees pleading unable to hear him ask me to divorce my angel.

"He is a Knight...At the end of the day he will side with his family",Alan remarked instanly angering Ian again.

"You thoughtless blockhead...this is what you think of me after helping David when I have solid reasons not to choose to help him",he replied in frustration.

"No... he is being impulsive Ian..Forgive him...I'm sorry on his behalf...Please help me out of this situation",I again pleaded with him getting up.

"Fuck...Dad and Damien are hell bent on throwing you out of her life.Vina is crying her heart out because of you.And you openly challenged Dad that you will take her away from here.How are you going to take her away from here when she doesn't even want to see your face.God...where am I  stuck?",he said holding his head .

"And you"...he snapped at Alan..."You better keep your mouth shut from now on".

"I just tried to help",Alan said meekly.

"No...thanks to  you for screwing up everything",he glared at Alan.

"What if you both had kids?Would you accept them or reject them because you already have Amanda and now Siyara?And the contract doesn't allow you to acknowledge your kids?",he asked scrutinizing me.

"But they don't have kids",Alan voiced out.

"Shut up...I'm not asking you.And David..please  answer my question".

"I wouldn't care about any damn contract if we had kids.Even now I don't give a damn for that stupid contract.I just  thought of using it as a means to take her back with me when Alan told us all today that the contract still stands ..How can you even think that I will not accept Siya or our kids.Children are a blessing and if we have kids in future I will cherish them along with her not because they are a part of me but because they are a part of my angel whom I love endlessly",I answered his question truthfully.And I secretly wished that if he had kids they would have bound us together forever.

"And don't worry about that contract...I will dissolve it after I take her away from here.I'm sorry ...but I will have to do it because she won't give me a chance with your dad and brother around",I said with determination.

"Of all the clauses in the contract,why did this clause bother you so much,Ian?",Alan asked frowning at him.

"I-I it's not my call to tell you anything",Ian looked away with helplessness evident in his face.

"Care to explain what the hell is happening",I confronted him.

"I can't tell you brother in law...I'm sorry",he looked frustrated.

"But I can tell you son",my dad walked in on us smiling at me for the first time after so many years.

"Thanks for inviting me here Ian,I will take it from here,son",he greeted Ian with a friendly hug.

"Thanks for coming Mr.King",Ian replied sighing in relief.

"Your attorney and son both are dimwits.They both ruined everything",Ian said sarcastically.

"And make sure to fire Mr.Wills from his job once you go back to LA and find some good attorney or else that day is not far when you all will be in the streets because of this dumbass legal adviser of yours",he added.

"Looks like you both messed up totally this time",my dad looked at Alan and me with an accusing glare.

"Dad,I..."

"It's time for you to come back to LA son",he said looking at me sternly.

But dad..I'm not going anywhere without my wife,I replied stubbornly.

"When did I say that you are going back alone.I'm here to take you and Siyara back to LA along with my daughter in law and grandchildren",he announced.

"Holy s**t"...Alan exclaimed.

"Grand children?...Dad..what do you mean by that?",I questioned as the meaning of his words started seeping in my mind.

"That means ...my dear son...get ready to be introduced to Siya and your twins... Asher and Alyssa..."dad smiled at me confirming my doubts as tears started flowing down my eyes in realization.I have fathered two munchkins with my Angel.

How was the chapter?

Is Davina overreacting or is she just insecure?Those who think she is overreacting..please don't judge her because she is being an insecure mother.if david can be a protective father,then she can also be a protective mother.
