If death had a word, it is warm and cozy. It made me want to sleep eternally in this eternal darkness and serene as I had longed for such calmness. But strangely, I had felt both this serenity and the near-death experience and I knew that these two are separate beings. I am alive, I think. My eyes fluttered open to a dimly lighted and cold vision, like something dampened on my eyes, and that scent… The morning mist basked in sunlight. My forever favorite scent was shrouding me, lulling me into eternal comfort and safe haven. I reached up, found something halting and intertwined with my fingers, and dragged it down to my chest where a shadow then removed the covering on top of my eyes. The sparks running at the touch give away who it was and I haven't had time to process things
