DJ’s POV
I opened my eyes, surprised to see myself standing in what looked like the living room upstairs. Only this room wasn’t about to fall into a ditch and anything that made it our family getaway was gone. There were just bare walls and windows. Outside the night was black, flashing with lightning that didn’t leave a sound behind. Only blue flashes remained, looking like someone had hung a bright shard of glass in the middle of it…
“Where are we?” I asked, curious--- and a little freaked out by the strange echo of my own voice. And the fact that I couldn’t smell or hear anyone. Hell, it felt like we were the only two people here, and suddenly oxygen had a hard time agreeing with my lungs.
