DJ’s POV
“That was a roller-coaster,” Cat panted when she pulled us out of the trance and back to the real world. Dizzy and suddenly disorientated, I stumbled to my feet. But I soon felt Erika’s arm around mine, helping me to stand.
“We queens have to band together,” she joked with a soft tone. “Otherwise, our mates might figure out that we’re actually going easy on them.”
I snorted but didn’t comment. I wanted to tell her that we still had to survive the night before we made any plans about our mates. Helping me stand we all jumped when suddenly lighting stook and a roar of thunder echoed throughout the whole valley. It sounded like an explosion going off and the electricity in the air, made my skin tingle.
