CHAPTER SIXTEEN They waited until everyone went either at home or to bed and then Mark followed Lily into her bedroom. He shut the door behind him quietly, but he didn’t advance into the room. He stopped there and watched her. The woman moseyed across the room to the window. For a few seconds, she looked out of the window to the huge oak tree, bathed in the milky light of the early morning. Then, she pulled the curtains to cover the windows, but she didn’t turn to Mark.
