I snuggled farther in the bed and pretended last night hadn’t happened. It was like a scene out of a movie with shoot-outs and people screaming, running for safety. I felt like it was my fault. I shouldn’t have gone back to where he could find me so easily. My life had been going okay for the most part, besides working two jobs to support myself and my son.
