Deep in my thoughts, I shut the car door behind me and glanced left to right at the quiet streets of Chicago in front of the mayor’s office. Remo had been able to get information about him working late tonight. Usually, he’d be at some function to try and drum up money for his reelection campaign, which we’d donated to many times over the years. The door opened to the security guard we paid to tell us when everyone was gone out of the building.
