I shook my head and took a step away, wiping the tears away, I held my hand to stop his progress "Stay away from me" I sobbed, his frown deepened "Please" I pleaded helplessly.
The ruffles of the dry leaves behind him broke his attention. Luc soon came into view. He quickly made his way towards me. I jumped into his arms as soon as he came within reach.
"You are bleeding" Luc said as he wrapped his arms protectively around me.
"I don't want to be here" I begged "I don't want to be here" I repeated.
"Dan can you leave us alone?" Luc said, understanding my implication.
"But...."
"Please" Luc requested "She'll be fine. I 'll take care of her" he assured.
I didn't dare to raise my face. I couldn't look at him after I dreamt of killing his mate.
