Dreams and Realities

I groggily got out of bed, still trying to shake off the vivid dream I had just had. The memories lingered, making my heart ache. I rubbed my eyes, trying to clear the haze from my mind, and swung my legs over the side of the bed, feeling the soft carpet beneath my feet. I hastily brushed my teeth, the minty toothpaste refreshing my mouth, and washed my face, the cool water invigorating my skin. As I grabbed my backpack, my mom called out to me from the kitchen. "Wait, ain't you going to eat!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the hallway. "No mom, I can't afford it!" I replied, already heading out the door. "At , don't forget your lunch! And don't be late for your class!" I rolled my eyes good-naturedly and grabbed the lunch she had prepared for me. "Got it, mom. Thanks!" I dash out the door But then I collided with someone halfway. Apologetic, I stumbled backward, and that's when I saw him – the stranger from my dream. Our eyes met, and for a moment, time stood still. The scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted from the café nearby, mingling with the stranger's earthy cologne. I apologized profusely as I stumbled backwards, and that's when I saw him. The stranger from my dream. The one who had whispered "Matt, don't die" in my ear. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes met. For a moment, we just stared at each other, frozen in time. Then, I remembered I was late for school and I had to rush. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, as I quickly regained my composure. "I have to go, I'm really late!" The stranger nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "It's okay " I dashed out and hailed a taxi. As I sat in the taxi, my mind was reeling with questions. What just happened now, how is this even possible to see a stranger from your dream? I pushed the thoughts aside trying to calm my racing heart. Just then my Besty's call came in. "hey girl, what's up,where are you?" Sena said "I'm on my way Sey I just got a taxi i will be there soon" she chuckled "you are always like this Matt,i'll be waiting for you " i laughed and replied "sure ma'am" As I arrived at college, I saw Sena waiting for me outside the lecture hall, looking stylish as always. I quickly paid the taxi driver and rushed towards her. "Hey, sorry again for the last-minute rush," I said, slightly out of breath. Sena smiled and handed me a coffee. "Don't worry, I got you covered. I know you're always running late, so I brought an extra coffee for you." I took a grateful sip and followed her into the lecture hall. As we took our seats, I couldn't help but think about the dream I had again. It was the third time this week I had dreamed about this . I shook my head, pushing the thoughts away. It was just a dream, I told myself. But the image of Dave with Zenneth as well as my death lingered in my mind, making my heart ache. Why is my subconscious keep torturing me with this scenario? Is Dave actually like that. Sena's voice brought me back to reality. "Hey, are you okay? You seem a bit spaced out." I forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit tired, that's all." The lecture began, and I tried to focus on the professor's words, but my mind kept wandering back to the dreams. What did it all mean? As the lecture went on, I tried my best to focus on the professor's words, but my mind kept drifting back to the dreams. I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, that my subconscious was trying to tell me something. But I pushed those thoughts aside and tried to concentrate on the lesson. I didn't want to fall behind in my studies, especially not in my favorite subject, psychology. As the class ended, Sena and I walked out of the lecture hall together. She was chatting about her weekend plans, but I wasn't really listening. My mind was still preoccupied with the dreams. Suddenly, I heard a snicker behind me. I turned around to see a group of girls from my class staring at me, their eyes mocking me. "Hey, stick insect," one of them sneered. "What's with the skinny legs? You look like you're going to break in half." I felt my face flush with embarrassment. This was nothing new, of course. I was used to being bullied by my classmates. They would always make fun of my skinny frame, my awkward gait, my "nerdy" glasses. But Sena was quick to come to my defense. "Hey, leave her alone," she said, her voice firm but calm. "Matt is a brilliant student, and she doesn't deserve your cruel words." The girls snickered again, but Sena's words had silenced them. They knew better than to mess with her, she was one of the popular girls in school. As we walked away from the group, I felt a surge of gratitude towards Sena. She was one of the few people in school who had accepted me for who I was, skinny legs and all. And then there was Dave. He was the only guy in school who had shown any interest in me, despite my awkward appearance. He would always sit with me at lunch, and we would talk about our shared love of psychology. But Zenneth was a different story altogether. She was the queen bee of our school, the most popular girl in our class. And yet, she had taken a liking to me, despite my social status. She would often sit with me and Sena at lunch, and we would chat about our favorite TV shows. As we walked towards our next class, I couldn't help but wonder why Zenneth and Sena were so kind to me, despite my awkwardness. And why Dave had chosen me, of all people, to be his girlfriend. But I pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the present moment. I had a class to attend, and I didn't want to be late. Damian's Pov I was lost in thought, my mind wandering back to the dreams I had been having for weeks. Dreams of a girl with piercing brown eyes and long, curly brown hair. Dreams that felt more real than my actual life. And then, I saw her. The girl from my dreams. Matt. I was walking down the pathway, lost in my own world, when I collided with her. Apologetic, I reached out to steady her, and our eyes met. It was like time stood still. I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body, and my heart skipped a beat. I was taken aback by her beauty even though skinny, but still beautiful. Her eyes sparkled in the light, and her hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall. I was smitten, and I knew in that moment that I had to make her mine. As we exchanged apologies and introductions, I couldn't help but feel a sense of déjà vu. I had dreamed of this moment, of meeting her, of being with her. And now, here we were, face to face. I couldn't take my eyes off her, and I knew that I had to find a way to make her mine. I was determined to make our dreams a reality. As we parted ways, I couldn't shake off the feeling that our meeting was more than just a coincidence. It was fate, bringing us together. I made a mental note to find out more about her, to get to know her better. And as I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement, a sense of hope. Maybe, just maybe, my dreams were trying to tell me something. Maybe Matt was the one I was meant to be with. I walked into my office, still reeling from the encounter with Matt. I couldn't believe that the girl from my dreams was real, and that I had actually met her. I felt like I was on cloud nine, and I couldn't wait to learn more about her. My secretary, Ephraim McDowell, looked up from his desk as I approached. "Good morning, sir," he said, his voice professional as always. "Good morning, Ephraim," I replied, taking a seat in my chair. "I need your help with something." "Of course, sir," Ephraim said, his eyes curious. "What can I do for you?" "I met a girl this morning," I said, my mind still reeling from the encounter. "Her name is Matt, and I need you to find out more about her." Ephraim's eyes widened slightly, but he didn't say anything. I could see Ephraim's thought's written all over his face. Well, well, well. Look who's finally fallen off the bachelor wagon. My boss, my best friend, the infamous Damian, is actually interested in a girl. And not just any girl, but one who seems to have captured his attention in a way that I've never seen before. I've known Damian for years, and I've never seen him like this. He's always been the one in control, the one who calls the shots. But now, he's like a puppy in love, eager to please and eager to learn more about this mysterious Matt. I have to admit, I'm a little surprised. Damian has always been the epitome of confidence and self-assurance. But now, he's like a schoolboy, nervous and fidgety. It's almost...amusing. But I know better than to underestimate Damian. He's a force to be reckoned with, and if he's set his sights on Matt, then she's in for a wild ride. I just hope she's ready for it. Here's the rewritten text with added sensory details: Matt's POV My heart skipped a beat as our gazes locked. The stranger's piercing blue eyes seemed to see right through me.
