I should have stayed put

"Did she flee"Liam asked no one in particular as he chuckled darkly........she must have been so scared of getting sacked..........

Few hours passed it was just few minutes to closing hours and Liam had not set his eye on Emma.... he thought she was only going to flee for few minutes just for him to forget about it.......but it looks like that was not the case.........

The clock struck 6:00........ Liam was really to going scold Emma.......she had no right to leave like that........getting to the front desk.......he took out his pen from his pant pocket ready to sign out.... this was very compulsory as they have strict rule that everyone must adhere to........

"Have a nice day sir"The petite lady at the front desk wished as she blushed while shying away........

Liam shock his head as he watched the lady......he pushed the book back to her proceeding to leave............ suddenly he felt he should check if Emma did leave for work by signing out........ he had checked her desk earlier on his way out and he saw her belongings......she would probably not leave all that there till tomorrow right.....

"I would like to check something"Liam said as he turned back heading toward the lady at the front desk......

The lady as the front desk was too shy that she could not reply........she shyly brought out the book again handing it over to the captivating man in front of her

Liam flipped through the page as he searched for Emma name.......he tried checking the time he sent her to get coffee and make some corrections........but her name was nowhere to be found......... what was happening

"Have you seen Emma walk out of the organization today"Liam asked the lady who was staring intently at him.....not planning to pull away

Emma was very popular so the lady at the front desk knew she was the one the handsome man was talking about.........

"No....... I've not seen her go out and as you know that without signing out there's no way one can leave"She replied calmly when she saw the serious look on his face

Liam was confused....... that implies that Jane was still in the company........she was not in her office .......then where was she

He felt his stomach churn.........did something happen........no...... there was possibly nothing that could have happened........

"Why don't you try checking the surveillance camera"The lady at the front desk suggested as she couldn't brush away the worried look of his face off her mind

Liam didn't waste anymore minutes before heading to the surveillance room........why didn't he think of that earlier.........

Liam saw Emma........in the surveillance camera........she had place her hand on a desk....he studied her expression and anyone could tell that the person was in pain........what was happening.......he saw her stand upright and walk toward the door that led to the stairs but why wasn't she coming out...........maybe there was still more footage

"Proceed"Liam said when he saw that there was no more footage of Emma

"That's all the footage"The old man said calmly..... after clicking few button......

"Are you sure.........or is there some issue somewhere."Liam asked.....how could Emma be there.......it must be that the problem was from them

"Check again" Liam said after saying that statement over and over again........making the man give up in frustration

"I've been in this field for a very long time young man...... and I'm still standing on the fact that the lady didn't emerge from that door"The old man replied furiously....as his wrinkled face grew more ugly

Liam wanted to refute.........but he stopped when he saw that the man was not giving him any attention......does that mean that Emma was still in the stairs.....maybe she was hiding there waiting for him to leave.........yes.....that was what she was doing......

He didn't waste anymore time before making his way to the step......was hiding really the next thing Emma could think about..........she was so silly.......Liam chuckled.......

Liam got to the door......and descended the stairs........the first thing he was going to do when he set his eye on her was giving her the scolding of her life...........

Why was File scattered on the floor this way with coffee spilled everywhere.......so Emma took her job this lightly ...........On raising his head up after picking the file up he saw blood which smeared the next three step......what was happening......why was there blood...... something must have happened to Emma........he felt his heart palpitate.........he felt dizzy just from staring at the blood...........he hurriedly continued to descend the stairs......he didn't need anyone to tell him that something had happened to Emma.......... the blood continued as he descended........

There was she........lying lifeless on the floor.....her hair was covering her entire face........his heart ached........he carried her in his arm........her body had turn cold.......her lips pale.......he felt his palm go wet.......what was that.......no........it couldn't be blood right.....Shit!!.........Liam didn't waste anymore seconds and walked out as he hugged Emma tightly.......... trying to warm her up from the heat radiating from him........but it was not helping her body was still cold........no.......Emma can't die on him........he was all the cause of this.......he should not have sent her on such a meaningless errand........on an errand that was just to calm him of his rasing heart .......who would have thought such a thing would happen........was she attacked..........did she fall off........series of questions ran throughout his mind......... this was insane......... he had no one who would give answers to his question......

The lady at the front desk was stunned....why was Emma looking so disheveled.....one side of her face was covered in blood.......making her hair stick to her once beautiful face....did the man do this to Emma.........no.....he wouldn't........he look so calm and collected.........she quickly ran to help and request what happened........

Liam placed Emma gently inside the car with the help of the lady at the front desk.....he explained briefly to her......he was thankful she didn't probe to ask any further question........

As he drove to the hospital......he couldn't help the urge.......he was constantly glancing at Emma hoping she would open her eye and tell him she was fine or all this was a joke.......but he was only fantasizing..........all that was not happening......

Seeing that the lights were still stuck on the red light......Liam grew impatient.........gazing at the pale face and lips of Emma scared him......... wasting no time and see that there was no one passing at that time........Liam accelerated leaving the other cars behind.........he couldn't afford to wate anymore time.......time was not on his side.....

No sooner had he left did he hear the siren of the cops car blaring loudly behind him.......

"Stop the car young man"A male cops shouted"seeing that the car was not stopping.......more cops began to gather chasing after him ..........violating the rule ...... that was a huge offense

Nothing was stopping him.....not even the cops........what was on his mind was taking Emma to the hospital.......

"You mean I will be leaving in the Manson"Jane asked when she was stopped by the butler as she was about to leave for the day

"Yes"The Butler replied with a Gentle smile

She didn't know about this......she should contact Emma later and explain to her......

"Let me lead you to the room you will be during your stay in the mansion"The butler said as she extended her hand forward indicating that Jane should come with her.......

"Why am I staying here and not in the maids quarter"Jane asked as her pupils bulged.......the room was located at the second floor.......it was neatly decorated with a bed that made her want to lay on it..........the desk carried necessary things a lady will be needing......and the closet was packed with maid dress that she could change into........

"Young master Ford arranged this room specially for you...... concerning the relationship with you and his mother......and your main purpose of coming here was to donate blood so he owes you this much

Wasn't this too much..........she was really not expecting to be treated this way.........

"If you need anything please let me know"The Butler said before walking away........leaving the stunned Jane as she stared in confusion........

Jane took in all the room decor ...........she hurriedly close the door......she couldn't wait to lay on the bed.......she wanted to feel the comfort.......the coziness..........

After making sure the door was locked.....Jane jumped directly on the bed......she squealed in excitement as she felt her body soften as she rubbed on the bed continuously..........this was the first time she was laying on a bed this big and comfortable.........

She smiled as she gazed around the room.......her thought drifted to the moment young master Ford hugged her when she walked in..........she wondered why he did that........she could not get his eye which looked hurt away from her mind........was she not suppose to have pushed him away.......no she did the right thing.........hugging her without her will ......that was s****l harassment...........but..........the way he gazed at her.......like he had been longing to see her......maybe she was mistaken.........he probably took her for the wrong person.........it could not be that he had feeling for her......nah..... that was not possible.......they just met........ young master Ford was indeed handsome...........she recollect......he had a very straight nose.......his hair cascaded down making him look like those prince in novel she use to read back in the days............he had brown eye which made one gaze deeply at him.......she was lost in them for few second.....if he had not hug her all of a sudden she was sure that she would not have snapped out of her thought........his lips was thin and red.........she remembered him move them so sexily as he spoke to her earlier................

Jane reluctantly stood up from the bed.......she could not afford to think about anything at this rate.......she felt her cheek burn lightly.......she didn't need anyone to tell her they were red already.......she made her way to the washroom to take a cold shower as she tried to brush away the thought........

Coming out of the shower Jane felt so relaxed......she had almost forgotten herself in the bathtub........had the water not run cold she would have still remain there........it was her first time.......she only had a shower in her apartment.......... everything was new to her.......Jane giggled as she still found everything hard to believe....

She sat on the stool at the front of the dressing mirror.........she had used the product she saw in the washroom on both her face and body and she wouldn't lie that she saw wonders.....her skin was soft to touch..........she glanced at the body oils and other things she could apply......she didn't waste anymore time before applying them on her skin......this was amazing ........her skin glowed under the dim light as she massaged her legs and upper arm in a continuous motion..........was this really her body........

After gazing at herself in the mirror Jane stood up.........she felt she was not going to fall asleep early due to much excitement........she needed warm milk.......yes it was only milk that could sought her out..........she stood up and heeded to the kitchen.........

Why was everywhere so dark......she couldn't afford to disturb everyone.........the butler and maids would probably think it was young master Ford if she put on the light......no she didn't want them to misunderstand

..........so she walked quietly.........moving with only the ray of light coming from her phone which was at the verge of shutting off........she had to hurry up.......

Getting to the kitchen.........Jane opened the fridge..........she was speechless........it was filled with frozen food........and so many things.......she searched for milk.......which she found in no time...........

Ford who was outside the mansion walked in......he had just escorted a special investor who came unannounced.....it was in the middle of the night........he could have literally wait till tomorrow..........Ford sighed as he walked in.........today has been so hectic.........

"i wil see you in the company tomorrow"Ford said over the phone before hanging up.......he was about to switch on the light when he saw light emitting from the kitchen......it was neither too bright nor too dark.......the next second he heard the sound of something shattering.........what was that.......was there an intruder........it couldn't be.......the mansion was guided by well trained security......how the hell did the person get in..........

Hearing the Mansion door open all of a sudden.......Jane was scared out of her wit that the glass cup fell off from her hand hitting the solid fall before she could even process thing........the glass cup shattered .........making a loud noise .........shit!

Jane tried to pick the shattered glass from the floor.......but she was in too much of an hurry that the glass ended piercing into her hand.......she hissed in pain not daring to make a sound........she hurriedly grabbed her phone switching the light of........she couldn't afford to be caught in the middle of the night.....who knows if it was against young master Ford rule......she should have stayed in her room.......she heard his voice the other time and didn't need anyone to tell her it was young master Ford

Ford inched closer....... grabbing the vase at the corner of the mansion......... alerting the security was not a good idea at the moment as it can alert the intruder......it can never be the maid.......he bad warned them strictly beforehand that they should heed back to there quarter once it was 10:00 he would do this own.........

Ford put on the light........the first thing he saw was shreds of glass on the floor.....with bloodstain.......someone was definitely here.....he walked toward the counter........with slow step........ ensuring he was gentle as possible......the person was probably still here

Jane covered both her nose and mouth with her hand.........she could sense the young master Ford movement........he was inching very close.......oh no! what excuse was she going to give.......this was insane

Ford saw a shadow just behind the counter.........he lifted the vase high.....ready to strike..........he was going to teach all the security a lesson tomorrow for not guiding his mansion properly.........
