Candice’s cheeks flushed.
She glared at him.
There were only the two of them in the room, but it felt as if she was being watched by everyone. She lowered her voice and reminded him, “It’s working hours, please don’t flirt.”
Charlie pulled her closer, resting his forehead against hers. He whispered softly, “Come up to the rooftop tonight to see the kitten. You haven’t visited it in days. It says it misses you.”
“I can go, but... I won’t stay overnight.”
She stared at his lips, her breath quickening.
Charlie gently brushed his warm breath against her cheek. “Candice has the potential to be a heartbreaker.”
“Don’t say that, I’ll get too proud.”
With that, daring Candice quickly stole a kiss on the CEO’s lips before grabbing the file and dashing off like a rabbit.
