Candice nodded. “Alright.” She considered whether she should warn him that Andrew was clearly up to no good—trying to drag Charlie into a cesspool of debauchery. She would be the first to object. But then again, with his intelligence, why would he need her warning? She sent a message to Darcy, passing along Charlie’s words. “It’s still early. Let’s go for a walk,” Charlie said from the other side. Candice had just finished texting and looked up. “Let’s not. It’s getting dark. Walking alone in the mountains is kind of creepy.
