Elle left the room, carefully stepping around Sawyer so she didn’t brush against him. He turned to leave, then sighed, closed the door again, and went over to the desk where Elle had been working. She had taken her journal but left the book with his family tree laid out on the desk with the large elaborate centre page spread open.
He looked over the names and froze when he got to his father. Someone had added in the date of his death, but he had no idea whether it had been done by Elle or somebody else. He closed his eyes for a moment before opening them and looking at his own name. Whoever had written in Tobias’ date of death had written the same date under his name as the date he took over as Alpha.
