The elevator doors opened onto the thirty-second floor of Blackwood Tower with a quiet mechanical hum. Damian stepped out without slowing. Most of the executive floor had already gone dark for the night, but the legal and investigative teams were still working inside the conference room at the end of the hallway. Light spilled through the glass walls, reflecting across the polished marble floor. Grant looked up as Damian entered. “You’re late,” he said.
