DARREN'S POV
After I took Eve out for a meal, the two of us returned to the condo.
“Eve,” I called out to her as we were about to enter our own rooms.
“What?”
“Do you want to go to the beach?” I invited Eve because I didn't want to see my friend upset about what had just happened.
“Sure, let's go.” Yes! I was sure Eve would say no.
“Let's go tomorrow morning. It's getting late today.”
“Okay.”
“Well... I'm going to my room now.”
“Okay.” Then we both went into our respective rooms. I smiled with joy. I wanted to take Eve to relax, not wanting her to dwell on that asshole. I wasn't sure if Eve was into him yet.
