When I mind linked the doctor and he told me she was awake, I knew I had to go see her. He quickly explained that she didn’t remember anything. He thought it would be a good idea for me to explain everything since I was the only person she knew around here. When I walked in, something must have triggered her memories because she started to shake and sob.
When her hands wrapped around her stomach protectively, my guts churned. She knew she was pregnant and was worried something had happened to the baby. “You’re okay now.” I tried to console her, but who was I kidding?
