I knew this wasn’t just a simple barbeque. Luke had important people here that he was doing pack business with. Even though I knew exactly where he was the second we walked out, I tried my best not to distract him. I could feel his eyes on me and then I faintly felt anger, jealousy and possessiveness. It was so strange to feel these emotions knowing they were coming from him.
When I turned to look in his direction, I noticed Matt was walking over to me. I instantly knew this wasn’t going to be good. I hadn’t really spoken to Matt or been close to him the entire time I’ve been here, not since I was in the infirmary. Luke was an Alpha male and I didn’t need to be a wolf to know he wouldn’t appreciate another male who had seen my Tesoro (treasure) near me.
