Chapter Twenty-Four Just Business — Nothing Personal With the worst of his suspicions about Anne having been dismissed by d**k, Don went back to work the following week with new-found enthusiasm. There was even something of a spring in his step. He found himself genuinely enjoying his role as a manager, and even the bookkeeping he’d been so afraid of was becoming less of a mystery. Don successfully chased down customers with several overdue invoices and thereby brought some much-needed income to the estate bank account.
