MONDAY 10AM – ALI RAFIQI've been scouring the internet for hours, flight scanner pages, travel agents, airlines, but there are no seats available on any Paris flights until tomorrow afternoon. I've been scribbling notes of times, prices, airports, and still nothing, unless we drive all the way up to Birmingham. It's unbelievable that so many passengers are flying to France tonight. It's probably still not as chaotic and crowded as the departure lounges in Pakistan, though. It always makes me laugh when I think of all the shouting going on about oversized baggage, lack of travel documents and haphazard queuing. It's like a cattle market with human cargo.
