SATURDAY 10PM – UZMAI'm exhausted. This afternoon I walked all around Montmartre, peering into cafés, searching for galleries where Sylvain might be hanging out, dashing in and out of bars, and generally looking like a tourist with no friends. I did stop to eat at MacDonalds, which I know isn't the most healthy type of meal but it's certainly one of the cheapest. My feet ache, despite these once comfortable Converse and I feel grubby. I went to the market, too and purchased some knickers and a couple of t-shirts which set me back twenty Euros, money that I can hardly afford to spend, but another day spent in the same clothes will have the other guest house occupants noticing.
