They clamp my mouth shut, forcing me to swallow and tears spill out of my eyes as I try to struggle and fail.

They finally let me go and weak as I am, I scramble back, trying to spit it out but I’ve already swallowed the wolfsbane.
“How much time?” Maya asks, looking at Cara.
Cara checks her wristwatch, “Twenty minutes will do the trick.”

I try to get to my feet, but Cara kicks me in the stomach, pushing me back against ta pile of broken chairs in the corner, “Just where do you think you’re going?”
I get enough of my voice to gasp at Maya, “What are you doing?! Let me go!”
“Let you go?” Maya mocks me. “Go where? To my Adam?”
