I knew something was wrong the instant he left, but it took me a few moments to act. Mainly because I wasn’t sure if it was due to Adam’s sudden departure, or if I felt a malicious disturbance in the air.
Looking back at Derrick, his gaze caught mine and I could tell he felt it too.
“Stay here,” I commanded telepathically. “I don’t know what’s going on, I’m going to take a look around. Just be ready.” I warned him.
