Chapter XLII Tick Tock “Tick tock.” “The hands of the clock keep moving, not missing a single second. Every second count. Every minute matters.” “Tick tock.” “Every hour is a chance.” Wendy heard a voice, murmuring those sentences in tune to the rhythm of a clock. She found herself walking, looking for where that voice was coming from. It was hazy once more as if she was in a dream, and from a distance, Wendy could see a figure, holding something in her hands.
