Tell me who you are
WENDY’s hand automatically flew to give Kaiser a slap on his cheek. She herself was shocked with the pain that registered on her palm after slapping him. His cheeks reddened and pain clouded his eyes for a moment. She didn’t intend it to be that intense, but that was her reflexes acting.
“I’ve lost it,” she couldn’t help but to utter. She could feel her heart grow heavy as her breathing became deep and unsteady. “I’ve lost the little protection I have for myself. Now everyone’s eyes are on me.”
“You can hurt me all you want, Wendy,” Kaiser said. He searched for her eyes and she couldn’t see anything on it but sincerity. “I’m sorry. It’s all my fault.”
She clenched her fist, wanting to hit him hard on the face
