Armaan
I can't believe she f*****g ran away from me. How dare she? I came here today to discuss calmly the lie she told me but no. She had to run away and from where this fucker came man I was in no mood to deal with the s**t which I had to go through because of her. What did he say that she was going to marry him like hell? She would. Seriously, Dude just back off. Didn't her parents deny their alliance? Why is he hell-bent on marrying her? Just go on and live your life like before, leaving her alone.
Today is so damn infuriating, but now she can't escape. I have been patient enough now I want her to be mine. I can't wait anymore now not after knowing that the fucker also wanted her and the need and the look in his eyes, it was like I was looking in the mirror. I have to work fast, enough of discussing her lies and enough of her running away. Now she has to accept the reality which is our marriage. Today I will talk to my parents about our engagement. Our engagement needs to take place this week.
''MOM DAD'' I yelled as soon as I entered my house. ''MOM''
''What happened Armaan, why are you shouting?'' mom came from the kitchen and rushed over to me, checking my body for... for what injuries. She really thought that I would come running home if someone beat me up.
''Mom, where is Dad? I need to talk to you guys'' I ignored her query.
'' Your Dad is in the office but what happened? Why are you shouting? '' mom asked again.
''Mom come with me I will tell you guys what happened'' I moved towards Dad's home office after knocking lightly on his office door. I waited for his order to come in.
''Dad, what did Sakshi's parents say about the marriage alliance'' I asked him as soon as we entered his office.
Dad was working on some documents but didn't look in our direction.
''Dad'' I called him again. Only then did he look at me. And he stays silent for some more time, making me frustrated.
''What's the hurry, young man? What about the alliance'' he asked patiently.
''Did they say something? What's their answer?'' I asked with impatience lacing my voice.
''No, I haven't talked to them yet'' he replied again, going back to work like we are discussing weather here and not my future, my life.
''Dad call them. Ask them about their answer.'' I said a little agitated.
''What's the matter beta [child]'' mom asked.
''Nothing mom, I just want to know their answer is something wrong with that.''
''There is nothing wrong with that. But marriage is a delicate bond and we can't hurry these decisions.'' Dad tried to calm me down. But nothing is working. I just want their answer so I can work further.
''Dad please.'' I didn't have to say anymore. Dad picked up his phone to call her parents. But suddenly his phone started ringing. He looked shocked. He showed his phone screen to me and Mum, and we both mirrored his expressions. It was Rahul uncle Sakshi's father. He himself was calling my father and that made me happy as well as scared shitless.
I have never asked anything in my life from my parents. Whatever they gave me, I was happy with that. But today I want her and why shouldn't I? She is my one true love. And her parents themselves asked for my hand. I can be a little greedy at once in my life.
My mom is too quiet for my liking. I turned towards her and she was staring at me as if she had never seen me before. Yes, mom love can make you do things that you have never in your life thought of doing. I snapped my fingers in front of her face. And she came out of her haze. And put her palm on my forehead to check if I was ill or something. I took her hand in mine.
''Mom I am alright.'' I assured her. My parents are unaware of this. I have never in my 28 years of existence talked to anyone of my family members about her. So that justifies my Parents' reaction.
''They have invited us for dinner tonight,'' Dad said, making me jerk up from my seat in happiness. Finally.
I knew if I stopped there even for a second, my mom and dad would have my head. So I made my way towards the door. I was about to twist the doorknob but my father's next words left me frozen.
''That doesn't mean that the answer is yes.'' Dad dropped the bomb on me.
''But that doesn't mean anything, Rajeev. The answer could be yes too. We have to wait till tonight.'' mom tried to soothe the hit. But the damage is done.
Without any response, I made my way upstairs to my room. I know what my parents meant. They don't want me to create any scene, whatever the answer would be. They want me to behave like I did my whole life but not anymore. Now I have tasted how it feels to call her mine. Now I can't let go. My love for her runs too deep. No one can snatch her for me, not my parents, not hers.
