"Yes, sir. My apologies. I will heed your words."
"Alright. Email me the report before 12 tonight."
He inhales sharply into the phone, and his voice breaks down into sputters. "B-But sir, it's already 9 p.m., and it's my time to clock out."
"You will get overtime pay for today, but that report is a must." I cut him off swiftly and professionally. "You know the protocol by now, so work accordingly."
