Chapter Twelve
"Please tell me you didn't sneak back down to the stables to kidnap him?" Rosemary asked as I stepped out into the gardens to join her so we could make our way to where we'd been instructed to meet.
"You mean Fenn?" I asked, feigning innocence.
"You named him? You're never getting rid of him now," she responded with a light laugh. "You know nothing about kitsune, do you?"
I shook my head. "I found a book in the library, but it didn't tell me very much."
She shrugged, then slipped her arm through mine. "He's imprinted on you. There's no chance you'll ever get away from him now."
"That's all right with me." I paused. "But will the royals let him stay with me? I don't want them to think I came here to steal one of their pets."
