“It was a pleasure doing business with you!” Adriano heard from behind him. He turned to see a black escalade with a crying Mayah and the man he has since learned to be Marco Montoya in the back seat speed away. “What the hell Roach?” he yelled with his gun still trained on Jackson and Derik. “This was your f*****g plan from the start, wasn't it?” he screamed moving his gun from Marco’s men to Kace. ““You only needed a way to get your daughter back! You said she would be safe here!”
“Are you out of your goddamn mind?” shouted Roach in return at Adriano. “I gave my word to look after her! She’s under my goddamn protection!” He turned to Kace. “What the f**k did you do Kace?” Roach turned and stormed towards Kace grabbing him by his collar. “You walked her to her room and now he f*****g has her! That’s what you meant when you asked me for permission to date her?”
“Stop it dad! Please!” Krista pleaded pulling on Roach’s arm. “Mayah traded herself,” she said sadly tearing up.
“What?” Kace asked still in Roach’s grip.
“Please, you have to let him go,” she said to Roach. “It’s not his fault. He didn’t do it!”
“Gather the men,” Roach shouted releasing Kace’s shirt. “Baby, do you know where he kept you?” he asked Krista.
“He always kept us blindfolded until we reached the highway,” she said sadly looking between her father, Kace and Adriano. “I’m sorry,” she sobbed.
“It’s not your fault baby,” he cooed. “Let’s get you inside” he said leading Krista inside. “Tie these two up in the shed for questioning,” he motioned to Stitch and Doc.
“I’m happy you got your daughter back but I’m going after Mayah,” Adriano called out to Roach following him inside. “How the hell did she get out?” he asked Kace walking beside him.
“Hell if I know, but I’m gonna find out.” he said heading up the stairs with Adriano trailing behind. Letting out a long sigh, Kace opened the door to Mayah’s room. “She went out the fuckin window,” he said through gritted teeth.
“What did you do Princess?” said Adriano walking over to her bed. “You sure she went out on her own and wasn’t taken?” asked Adriano raising his eyebrow at Kace.
“Kidnappers don’t leave f*****g goodbye notes,” Kace responded with a snarky tone. He knew that Adriano didn’t care for him or the Devil’s Angels. “You trying to say we did this?” he yelled at Adriano opening the letter. Taking a seat on Mayah’s bed, he began to read:
‘Thank you all so much for saving me and taking me in. I will miss each and every one of you. I’m sorry to leave you guys like this without saying goodbye but you wouldn't have let me leave if you knew what I was going to do. I owe the Devils Angels my life and I have a chance to do something right for once. Please don't be mad at me but I can't stay here and do nothing. I love you guys. Please forgive me. Love, The Devil’s Daughter
