Hayden sat up as he was struck by electricity. "What am I doing here?" He massaged his forehead as the nausea hit him. He looked around in a daze, and saw he was in Avelyn's room. 'How did I end up sleeping in her bed!'
"I have to go" he quickly threw the sheet that had been tangled around his legs, and went out of the room without giving Avelyn another glance.
Avelyn stayed on the other side of the bed, confused at Hayden's behavior. "Doesn't this man really remember what he told her last night?" She blinked multiple times, and just stared at the door. Should she go after him? Contemplating for sometime , she shrugged and layed down on the bed again. Whatever happens, she will go with the flow. But now, her head was throbbing because of the alcohol. She'd rather sleep than going out of her bed and telling Hayden who doesn't even remember one important thing he did when he was drunk.
......
It had been two days! Hayden didn't talk much with Avelyn and avoided her company. He wouldn't go beyond a simple greeting and wouldn't face her. On the other hand, Avelyn was frustrated. First, she felt lonely and sad when he ignored her, and second, she didn't like even a bit when the one she likes, who lives with her under the same roof, wouldn't talk to her.
Whenever she tried to have a proper conversation, Hayden seemed to be disinterested and it pissed Avelyn off. But she didn't want to have an argument, so chose to bottle up her anger inside her and stay quiet.
