The next day, Lyena was searching for others. She went to Adrian’s room but he wasn’t there. Eventually, she went to the living room, and saw James waiting there, alone. “Good morning! Seems like you have woken up early” James greeted her as he saw her coming.
“Good morning! I couldn’t sleep any more. But where are the others?” Lyena asked, ignoring the sarcasm that layered James’ words.
“Ryan went on a business trip yesterday night. Adrian and Noah went for some work today morning” James said. “They all didn’t want to wake you up and told me to say their goodbyes to you” he said as he saw Lyena’s smile drop.
“Oh OK then. When are they coming back?”
“Two or three weeks, I guess. Are you already missing them?”
Lyena shrugged. “A bit” Lyena said as she sat on the couch.
“You won’t miss me as you miss them” James muttered to himself ruefully.
“Did you say something?” Lyena asked as she heard him muttering.
“No no, I didn’t.” James said, shaking his head. Lyena raised her eyebrows demanding to know it as she knew that James was lying. “Let’s have breakfast now. Come.” James hurriedly said as he wanted to skip that matter.
“Lyena, I’m going to my company. Will you be alright here alone?” James asked as he was worried about leaving Lyena alone in the big mansion. Lyena smiled and said, “Don’t worry I’ll be OK. It’s not like that you can stay here with me here, all the time”.
“Actually, I CAN, if you want me to.” James said in a teasing tone as he stepped closer to Lyena. Being flustered, she took a step back. But, she didn’t want to lose to James.
“Well, I will be rather alone than being with an i***t like you.” She said in the same teasing manner as James.
He smirked and leaned closer to her face. “Are you sure Lyena? I can spend all my time with you. Just ask.” He said. His breath was hitting Lyena’s face. She tried to keep a straight face, but her blushing face betrayed her. She broke the eye-contact and looked away.
James chuckled and flicked Lyena’s forehead and said “who is the i***t now?” Lyena glared at him. “Obviously not me.”
“OK alright! It’s time for me to go! Call me if you need anything. Gosh! It’s so hard to win an argument with you.” James said, walking towards the main door.
“Glad you know that” Lyena said laughing.
“Bye! Take care!” She shouted as James got in the car.
“You too!” James waved at her and drove off. For some reason, he felt happy. He was surprised at how just a simple “take care” brightened his day in no time.
