CHAPTER 4
At the break of dawn, the chopper took off with Anon and Silver and the crew of three men, including its pilot, towards their destination. The Alpha and the Beta remained silent during the flight; they were engrossed in their thoughts. After one and a half hours of travel time, Anon requested the pilot to go around first, as he would like to inspect the whole property, the pilot immediately did as he requested. He made the chopper circle the boundaries.
Anon and Silver gazed admiringly at the vast area of property owned by the Stark family. Lush greenery still covered the whole property. It was once again the season of spring, like when he first saw it —the season of rebirth and new beginnings—befitting his purpose of relocating his people here. Their new beginning--a new reason to live.
Despite the developments in the property, from the aerial view, the ground remained abounding in lavish growth...pure greens... and concealed everything they did to make it a modern community.
Anon, with a slight curve on his lips, momentarily took a walk down memory lane. His lips curved upwards, remembering how it was like twenty years ago when they first visited the land. As soon as his feet landed in the ground, he drank in the sight, smell, and sounds of a bucolic environment around him, and he found peace for the first time in many decades of his existence—peace and freedom.
The thought of peace and freedom made him decide to build a better life for his pack—the one, that was far different from what they were used to—no more living in darkness, no more haunting thoughts about survival. In this place, they would live freely and without fear.
The twenty-five square miles piece of property in Scotland with the land formations of hills and cliffs and water formations of rivers, streams, and waterfalls were owned by his family and handed down from generation to generation. It was uncultivated when he saw it, with no habitats except wild and poisonous animals in a forest-like environment. Despite its wild simplicity, it was a beautiful place even then, a paradise.
Now, there were structures and roads, and walls -- the high barriers to the outside world secured it. It separated them from humans and the dangers the likes of them could bring them or the dangers the humans could bring to their kind.
The place was home to the fifty families of werewolves Anon adopted. It has become a community. The community members built everything inside the territory themselves. The site had become like a small city, and it has all the amenities the werewolf family would need. No one was allowed inside unless their families were residents of the place, it remained exclusive to their kind.
Pine and mahogany trees abound everywhere inside the property. Pine trees as tall as 60 meters and Mahogany trees reaching 75 feet or taller have grown from the last time Anon visited the place a year ago. Those trees concealed the structures below --the modern-styled homes built for the villagers and residents of the community. Those homes have no trace of wooden cottages they used to live in. Concrete, glass, and polished woods finished their new homes. Modern-day living for modern-day werewolves.
The community was self-sufficient—they grow vegetables, care for and raise animals and produce whatever they consume and if there was more, they share or market their products to the nearby communities.
Anon, knew that he did the best he could to protect their kind. It was the only way they could survive in a world where they were considered a threat to society. Authorities have no respect for the culture and the truth they believed in. They wanted to extinguish or punish or subject them to scientific studies. It was so unfortunate that even if they acted more human than other humans, they were considered an animal, a beast, a monster that have no right to exist in this world.
Living in fear had long been gone, the werewolves in this place were living in harmony…until now. Anon was there to find out what and who was threatening their peace.
As soon as the chopper landed. A group of men and women were formed in a straight line to properly greet their Alpha.
His Beta-Terrence immediately bowed his head as soon as Anon's feet touched the ground. Terrence was followed by the rest.
"Good morning, Mr. Stark!"
"Good morning, Alpha!"
Anon nodded to them and proceeded to the waiting limousine to bring him to the mansion. Anon had no time to spare, they had to solve the minor and major issues that sprouted. He wouldn't allow conflicts and threats to waste all the hardship they went through to create a peaceful community.
They arrived in the huge mansion with modern architectural design. It was the home of the Alpha and also the place where he handled his business whenever he was visiting the community. The rest of his pack were waiting for him with enthusiasm. They were composed of Gammas (Avid, Cedo, Tyson, and Safrinia ), head of the hunters (Lucas), and the Elder (Leopoldo) adviser in their pack. Anon joined them in a prepared breakfast together with his two Betas (Silver & Terrence).
Agatha was also there, with a Gamma position, like Safrinia, she could appear in all the meetings of the head of the pack. She was also a self-proclaimed mistress of the Alpha. She had been requesting Anon to grant her the role of a Luna, but Anon never agreed to her pleadings.
Agatha had contented herself to be the Alpha's mistress, even if Anon had been mum on this. No one else could give the Alpha's body satisfaction, the one that could only come from sex...except Agatha. Anon's sensual needs couldn't be handled by mere humans.
Before they knew it, the whole day was spent dealing with the urgent concerns of the community, inspecting the entire property, and making new rules to be followed by everyone in the community. The families followed every order of the Alpha as they were aware that he would be the last one who would wish them harm.
Before midnight, Anon and his man searched the entire property for possible threats, not in human form. The Alpha shifted to his huge black wolf form, to the satisfaction of his wolf "Connri". Lately, he wasn't allowed by the Alpha to show himself, it had been months since he was allowed to go out of his body.
In a flash, six strong werewolves hopped and rallied towards the wild.
Sleep and rest to their kind was a luxury that they could afford to miss even for days.

Meanwhile...
Ada woke up in the middle of the night, hearing a disturbing sound. She looked around her room but it was still very dark. The only illumination was coming from her window and the moon outside was only giving a bit of light.
It was so hard to see anything in a pitch-black room.
Suddenly, she heard a loud noise and another one that seemed like banging on her front door.
This had happened before, so her fear had doubled.
As soon it clearly registered in her brain, Ada trembled in fear. Pearls of cold sweat appeared on her skin. She sat up hurriedly, her back pressed against the headboard and immediately she curled in one piece. Hugging her legs so tightly and her head pressed on her knees.
"Who are those people?" she murmured to herself. Her chin trembling from too much fear.
Then she heard the loud sound of a crashed door. She realized her front door had been opened forcibly, the sound of crashing continued, and some other items smashed into pieces. In distress, she screamed...but there was no sound coming from her throat. Her heart was almost bursting in her chest.
"They must not find me, but, I have nowhere to go--"
She stood up and ran in a corner and then fold her body in one piece. Her body shook, scared out of her wits.
"Why was it always happening to me?" She placed her hand on her ears so that she wouldn't hear the crunching sound. She needed to think of a way out, but her mind was so troubled, she couldn't think straight. Not even to defend herself.
She prayed. She knew no one else could help her in such a situation but the Gods. They had to hear her prayers this time, they couldn't just listen to her, they have to act now. The gods were her only hope.
Whoever broke her door outside was coming to her bedroom door.
She heard their murmurs and sarcastic waves of laughter. Goosebumps crept all over her body.
"It can't be happening again--"
Heavy steps.
Heavy steps getting closer and closer to her room.
Laughter...wicked hushed laughter.
One even called her, "...I know you are there...We are coming to get you!"
"No-No--" Ada hope they would disappear.
She trembled even more. She tried to scream again but still nothing. Nothing came out of her parched throat.
Bang! Bang!
Ada closed her eyes. She sobbed repeatedly. She couldn't even call for help!
The sound of wood hitting another wood was a clear indication that they had forcefully entered her room. The sound of their laughter...evil laughter had reverberated in the four corners of her bedroom.
Scared. Petrified. Panic-stricken. Horrified. It was her end. They found her.
In a heartbeat, they have reached the foot of her bed. "...Give us what we want!"
Curled in one piece, her face still pressed in her knees. She wouldn't look at them. She couldn't dare to look at them.
"You cannot hide..."
That evil laughter again and that stingy smell penetrated her lungs.
In the peak of her terror...Ada chased her breathe. She cried as she heard their heavy footsteps coming near her.
She looked up slowly, she screamed as the eyes she saw were blazing with fire! Monsters! Beasts!
"Ahhh--" She screamed on top of her lungs and closed her eyes again.
"Ada!!!"
The monsters were calling her..."Ada!!!" His deep penetrating voice shook the hell out of her.
All of a sudden, her hands...her fingers stiffened...her nails getting longer and longer.
"Ada!!! Ada!!!" the loud penetrating voice was so high.
Somebody held her both hands and shook them repeatedly.
Screaming, Ada opened her eyes and she cried even louder...
