Chapter 2 The big party.

After fitting different dresses, Elara settled for a midnight blue satin hand tailored dress.

This dress fited her like it was crafted just for her. It buckled at the waist, flowing effortlessly her ankles with a not too high slit at the back. This revealed her beautiful curves in all the right places.

"Gosh!" Elara exclaimed admiring herself in the mirror after she viewed her reflection.

The fabric embraced her like her second skin, not overly tight but tailored enough to celebrate her natural body with refined allure.

She then settled for her black high heel, made over her face with blue eyeshadow, that complemented her big eyeballs and tied her hair in a bun leaving two tendrils fall on her face.

She has been too gorgeous since birth and most of girls envy her beauty, including her own step sister.

At the entrance of Ledby restaurant, were beautiful flowers arranged on the side of pavement leading to the pavilion. Portraits of Tyler Gush after every twenty metres.

The security guards were placed at the entrance of the way leading to this side of the restaurant to check on the invites.

Nobody was allowed in the party without an invitation card.

Everybody in Ledby restaurant could tell clearly there was a big ceremony ongoing, and not just a ceremony but a ceremony from wealthy class considering the security, the type of vehicles, and the services offered by the restaurant staff.

"Whose party is this?" voices were heard from the crowd

"Damn it's Tyler's birthday? he is one of the most handsome wealthy man in the city"

A girl in the entrance was telling her friends.

"And who is he?"

"Who doesn't know Tyler? He is the CEO at Gush company. He is rumoured to be dating one and only famous Rosalie" the girl added.

Tyler is the young Master of Gush family, who is known by his excellent business strategic ideas.

People in the city pay and book appointments with him for business ideas.

His ideas are said to have never failed.

He loved business from the time he was a teen, he was seen around his grandfather Master Gush and his workers everytime when he wasn't in school.

Other free time he could sneak and spend with Elara who was his girlfriend then, and get back to the company even with no duty to perform there.

It's through lack of enough socialisation with his mates that his mother Olivia says he obtained his cold demeanor behaviour.

Grandpa Gush had noticed his passion for business and he started giving him mentorship and engaging him more on activities involved in Gush's Company.

Elara's family reached at the venue , with one of their family vehicle, a silver Mercedes Maybach S-class.

The front seats occupied by their father who was the driver, and his wife Royleta Elara's step mum.

the back seat were occupied by Elara and fiona her step sister.

Each one of them with their eyes on the windows leaving the middle seat empty.

Fiona kept on stealing glances from Elara. Elara looked beautiful and Fiona envied her so much.

Elara's body feature made her look more expensive than her and it brought a pinch through her chest.

"So this b**tch will always look stunning in whatever dress?" Fiona thought .

Fiona felt so uncomfortable, not because she didn't dress really well, but because of her sister who looked more beautiful and elegant. She felt outshined.

On the other hand, Elara enjoyed the view on the entire journey not knowing how she was going to face his once loving Tyler who now is with her friend Rosalie.

She had decided to stay at the back seats where general guest seats were.

At the gate, one of the security guards checked their invitation card and ordered another guard to give them an escort handing over the invitation card to him.

"It's a VVIP invite" He said

"Alright sir" the other guard said.

He gave Elara's family escort through the pavilion where there was a private packing lot with all expensive vehicles.

The security guard then ordered them to follow him as he lead them through the hotel entrance. Elara noticed several glances from the surrounding but she didn't care, she is used to it and she expected it anyway.

After taking few corners inside the hotel, they then met a glass elevator written special guests only.

The guard man directed them to the elevator and pressed 12 upward which meant they were going to the 12th floor of the building.

Inside the hall, their seats were preserved in the upscale evening birthday party featuring elegant decor, ambient lightining, premium cocktails, gourmet cuisine and well dressed different guest all hosted in a lavish venue, that oozes sophistication and style.

Fiona who never had been in such a place again opened her mouth wide.

High ranked business people are at the stage giving out their speech and their gifts to the young Master of Gush.

" I have known this gentleman for quite a long time since childhood. He has been a brother, a friend and my business partner now. Cheers to more wins together " Jerry said.

All people in the hall raised their glasses for a toast.

"Cheers to brotherhood and friendship my moody and bossy brother" Jerry added

People laughed as they chorused

"Cheeeeeers"

A slightly tall beautiful girl took in the front her well wrapped gift box.

She was handed a microphone and she cleared her throat as the whole hall went silent waiting for her speech.

"Could this be the lucky girl dating our young Master of Gokon City?" a young man infront of Elara said.

Elara knew well the silence was due to their curiosity.

Tyler Gush is a man who keeps all his moves a secret. People have never seen him with any girl in the city.

Beautiful girls in modelling profession tries to seduce Tyler but they end up ashaming themselves.

" Well, happy birthday Tyler Gush. Am here for the sake of my best friend and a well known actress by the name Rosalie. Everybody is familiar with her i know". the tall girl said.

Tyler's face lightened up and he chuckled as he nodded .

There was some noise in the hall, some shouting Rosalie's name and others shouting " The bad girl" A popular rated series in Gokon City where Rosalie is featured as a main character.

Others were asking Tyler whether Rosalie is his girlfriend according to some rumours.

"Quet please,.. she sent me with this gift and I had to make sure it arrives safely" the girl said dropping the microphone and people clapped.

Elara and her family stepped foward to give i their family gift as well. Elara's body felt cold. Her feet were trembling as she walked foward.

All gazes on her. Her beauty is not something that has ever been ignored.

Tyler Gush's face softened a bit as his eyes were glued to Elara all the time since she started walking to the stage.

His heart beat too fast, and for some moment, the entire hall faded into a blur, and all he could see was her.

"Damn this is the b**tch I loved so much but she betrayed my emotions" Tyler cursed under his breath. His mind suddenly shifted and he gave a sharp gaze that swept over her like a passing breeze, slow and intentional.

Elara looked up, and their gazes locked.

She quickly dropped her face feeling like she has been slapped harder on the face from his cold gaze.

Tyler's eyes held no warmth only calm restraint, the kind that says " I'm not the one who lost anything"

Elara never felt more uncomfortable in her life like at this moment. A cold bead of sweat traced down her spine. Slow and mocking.

It wasn't heat it was him.

Her father was done with the speech, handed over the family gift, and they went back to their seats. Elara got into her seat in so much hurry that she was almost to fall down.

Sooorry" Elara heard as she sat down.

"C'mon Elara stop embarrassing yourself" Elara said to herself.

"Cheeeers " The crowd continued as the DJ took over.

People danced with their patners and friends.

Elara seated alone enjoying her slow sip of wine.

"Hey beautiful, why are you alone? can I accompany you?. Call me Newton" a young man said politely.

Elara who was starting to get tipsy, looked up at the man and nodded without saying a word.

Elara has poor alcohol tolerance and she blacks out after barely few glasses of wine.

This is the only reason she doesn't go out for drinking party alone or with unfamiliar people.

His father Sebastian was having a look at his girls and he assured them both to take their time that their family driver got their backs.

Elara heard a moan from a distant. "am I dreaming " a thought crossed her mind before she realize it was her own voice.

She was lying on a large luxurious bed, clutching the soft silk sheets with her hands.

"W..wh..where am I?" Elara lazily muttered.

"Aaaaahh It..it's.. m..me.. my Rosa, i waited for this moment" a familiar voice mixed with moa**ns groaned.
